Three days had elapsed.

"Come on Sera, just move on already, "Mei, with a pleading tone said and held Seraphina's hand as she gazed coldly at Angelina. Attempting to retreat, Angelina lowered her head, but Seraphina interjected, determined not to let her leave. "There's no need for you to go. Our disagreement wasn't monumental, and I neither hate nor particularly like you yet," Seraphina stated.

"OMG, she likes you!" Mei squealed with excitement. "Thanks," Angelina replied, taking a seat across from them. Just then, a brunette girl approached and informed Seraphina, "Seraphina, the headmistress has summoned you to her office." She swiftly departed after delivering the message. "What does she want now?" Seraphina grumbled, rolling her eyes. Mei whined, "I hope you're not getting expelled. We've only just started being friends." "Stop acting like a baby, Mei," Seraphina retorted, rolling her eyes.

Without bothering to knock, Seraphina entered the office. "Oh, you came. I thought you wouldn't make it," Ms. Green remarked. "You called?" Seraphina questioned.

"Yes, you haven't been home for three days now. Your dad is worried," Ms. Green informed her. "I understand that these days have been tough and challenging, but your dad genuinely cares," she added.

"Oh, so now he confides in you about his feelings?" Seraphina bitterly responded.

"I am your mother, Sera. Your dad and I share a past, and we can't simply pretend it never happened," Ms. Green pleaded.

"It's Seraphina to you. You have a past with him, a PAST with him. But you came back into our lives and played deceitful games to end my parents' marriage. You thought you could have a happy ending, and guess what? You did, because you successfully tore my mother apart," Seraphina accused.

"Seraphina, I am so-"

"NO! I don't want your five-letter word. I had to witness my mother's agonizing death right before my eyes. She died in excruciating pain(tears welling). Despite our feelings towards you, my dad brought you back into our lives. You despised me even before I was born. You didn't even want to see me after I was born, yet he welcomed you back as if everything was normal. I turned to drugs, slept around with countless boys, and became a bully. I became a monster! For heaven's sake, Nicole, I was the worst version of myself, and I still am. I want to be okay(Her voice breaking), but my dad always expects the worst from me. He never cared and still doesn't care if I can cope with my mom's death. Oh, please, do thank him for being the best dad in the world. My hatred for both of you grows day by day, and soon, I will be a ticking time bomb, not only for both of you but for the world. I may have come from your womb, but that doesn't make you my mother. You may be 'sorry,' but your apologies will never, ever undo what you did. They will never bring back my mom or the baby I lost," Seraphina cried, her words soaked in tears.

"You were pregnant?" Nicole gasped, visibly shocked.

"I had forgotten what it felt like to be loved by a mother, to be genuinely cared for," Seraphina uttered, her face stained with tears and her voice tiny as she felt overwhelmed by her emotions.

"Wishing things were different, well, they're not. I hope your apologies choke you and that you rot in hell," she declared as she stormed out of the office, colliding with her dad, who stood there with tears streaming down his face and a pallid complexion. Seraphina made her way to the school garden, attempting to light a cigarette. Frustration overwhelmed her, and she flung the cigarette away, screaming loudly as she sobbed, her hands covering her face.

It never gets better; the pain persists in a cruel cycle. When hatred, anger, and pain remain unaddressed for an extended period, the bearer becomes a tormented ball, on the verge of exploding. And when it finally detonates, the impact is felt by those closest, but the ball itself shatters into irreparable fragments that can never be pieced back together, no matter the effort.
