Standing to his feet, pushing the heavy armchair as if it wasn't even hard, Viz walked towards the balcony.
He dropped the popcorn box.
*Woosh*
The popcorn Box burned to ashes before it even reached the ground.
It was a simple spell.
But it turned the Atmosphere pressuring.
"What you mean by that brat?" Deglan Frowned.
Viz gazed at the landscape by far. Maybe it was because of the Sun, the greenery and beautiful peaks appears more pleasing. Too pure for a war to take place.
"Old man, have you thought of the aftermath of the war?" Viz asked.
His back was facing every one.
Deglan turned silent… rather, he was already silent. Possibly he knew by what Viz actually meant, so he wanted to keep his silence.
"Tetra's army… I can massacre it and win this war. But to us witchers it won't end well." Viz Continued, "People will fear us more, maybe this can keep them off from coming after us."
"But it will be only for a while."
"King Dagread will not stay quit and don't forget about Northen kingdom's strong alliance." Viz taped on rail as he said, "He may involve other kingdoms in this war."
Unlike the future, the present Norther Kingdoms, Kaedwen, Temeria, Redania, Aedirn, relationships, were strong.
Strong enough…
For other kingdoms, to send an army to support Kaedwen.
"I am not a massacrer, Deglan." Viz said, "If we can, I would like to avoid it."
If someone asked Viz if he was a good guy or a bad guy.
He would say neither.
Possibly his morals were a gray line.
But one thing Viz himself was sure, the present-him wasn't a sociopathic mass-murdered.
If unnecessary, he would like to avoid it.
"We don't have a choice left." Deglan said, "It's us or them."
Viz lips curled when he heard this. He turned back.
Noticed, everyone's expression as if saying, they really don't have any other choice left.
Viz showed them a large smile before his face turned earnest.
His movements were filled with etiquette as he gave a lite node.
"Apologies, but let me reintroduce myself."
"I am Viz an Brokvar, the Jarl of Clan Brokvar from Skellige Isles."
Hidden from everyone's sight, there was a letter inside Viz's pocket.
A letter with a seal of two birds on it.
A letter from the previous Jarl of the Clan… his Father in this life.
Viz didn't want to rebuke out.
But fuck!
Old man really can curse!
From the starting line, the letter contains profanity.
Only the last two lines contain the serious matter.
Recalling him back to the clan, lifting his banishment and making him the Jarl.
Viz knew the stubborn old man wouldn't call him back easily and make him the Jarl.
Viz believed the old man and his half brother were already dead.
Only then will the old man pass him the seat.
This letter was enough to prove to the other clan people he was the legitimate Jarl of the clan, Brokvar. So, it was important, Viz always kept this letter protected.
Viz guessed maybe this letter was the reason for the previous assassination attempt on him?
"Invite you, The Witchers of Kaer Morhen, to Immigrate to Spikeroog." Viz said.
Everybody present got surprised.
Vesemir and Madam Zerbst were delighted. Rather than going to war, they prefer immigration.
Reidrich didn't appear to care much. But inside he care, he needs to live, if he wants to do the research. So, he looked towards Deglan, waiting for his decision.
Deglan's brain ran fast with many thoughts before he said.
"Witchers will not listen to your command."
"I don't need them to." [Viz]
What's the beast thing about a witcher?
It's freedom.
Witchers avoid getting into politics.
They believe nothing good comes out of it.
But it doesn't mean witchers were ignorant of politics.
It was because they knew how bad a political involvement would be; they avoid it.
Except for the quest involving the monster hunt, have you seen a witcher working for nobles?
Maybe, but only temporarily.
You might say Geralt, in the future timeline, worked for the Temerian king, Foltest. In the witcher 2.
But the situation forced him.
Geralt himself several times tried his best to get out of the situation, before finally he got himself into a… messy… no, a fucked-up situation!
"Dagread won't give up easily." [Deglan]
"I can handle it." [Viz]
Having witchers immigrate to Spikeroog was a good thing for Viz.
One, he gets a free security for Spikeroog.
Suppose if there was an attack on Spikeroog, such as Cidaris. will witchers stand aside?
No.
Spikeroog is an island.
Unlike massive kingdoms, its landscape was small. Any attack on it, the Witchers would be affected, forced to fight against the enemy.
Two, they would be less or no more monsters on Spikeroog.
The same reason, small landscape, who wants monsters near their home.
Three, Viz prestige as Jarl of Brokvar will increase.
No other Jarl has done such a thing. He would be the first one.
Four, the Population of Spikeroog will increase resulting in Spikeroog's economy boost.
The more the security, the more the population inflow.
We can go on with the advantages, but there are also disadvantages.
Viz believes the Advantage of having witchers in Spikeroog outweighs the disadvantage.
"You are a cunning fella, Viz an Brokvar." Deglan said before he laughed. Other might not understand Viz thoughts, but Deglan could, cause like Viz he was also from Skellige isles.
"So, you agree with the invitation?"
Viz asked, though he already knew the answer to it.
Deglan snorted. "Do we have a choice?"
Viz smiled.
Vesemir, Madam Zerbst, sighed in relief.
Reidrich decides to go along with Deglan's Deglan's decision. To him, it didn't matter if he was in Kaer Morhen or Spikeroog. He just want to continue his research.
Time was sort, but they had time till dusk.
