"Did something happen?" Aramus asked. Cain had been holding me and I had hidden my face in his chest, unable to bear the shame of looking as though I had just cried my eyes out. Yet, when we walked into his office, I was unable to hide anymore. He had abandoned the papers on his desk, rushing towards the two of us.

"Are you two hurt?" He asked, inspecting the both of us with worry etched on his face.

"I have to tell you something," I answered, my voice scratchy, "Two things."
