"I'm not impressed." He said and Kalina guessed the laughter in his words. "Still." She returned, trying to match his amusement and completely failing. That man had a knack for annoying her, that was for sure. ¿Why? Kalina didn't know for sure. She felt a little stupid about the discovery, but there was something else. Something attracted her to him, that was undeniable.
"His name is Ender, and he is merely a nightmare…" She said with a shrug. She wasn't ready to talk about it.
"An andai. The sworn enemy of the Eria people. You two have already met." It was not a question.
"On one occasion." And, well, they had almost destroyed a whole city. She kept that last thought to herself.
Kalian heard Valian take a breath. He was wearing a soldier uniform with a small chest armor made from metal and leather.
"Do you want to talk about it, Kalina?"
"The truth is, no. But someday… maybe…"
Valian approached Kal, as he ran a hand through his reddish hair. He gently took her by the shoulders:
"I'm here for whatever you need. And even if it burns to my core, I will respect your decision." Then he added: "I will wait, treasure."
In mutual silence, they both set off. Thus, Kalina and Valian approached the border of Hasara with speed and resolution.
