If Sierra did make Nathan the slightest bit happy sometimes…it was probably because he was lonely and she was his only friend. He wanted human interaction more than he let on, didn't he? He only held back because of his trauma related to his power.
She scrutinized him as he continued playing Pac-Man. He had a look of fierce concentration on his face but didn't particularly seem to be enjoying himself.
She had noticed that about him before. Most of the time he seemed fairly detached from what he was doing. Like he was simply going through the motions of having a good time. Her suspicion that not many things actually made him happy strengthened.
Poor guy. He was so burdened with guilt and an overblown sense of obligation to save everyone that he couldn't take the time to slow down and live life the way he wanted. He was always on edge waiting for something bad to happen.
