When Audra's mum dies, she goes back home, even knowing she would finally have to face his first love, Chris – who’s also his foster brother. After what appears to have been a pretty painful breakup, they’ve been avoiding each other over the past 11 years. But will the pain of the loss bring them back together? Or would the bad memories be too much? The journey from here only gets more eventful, when her mum leaves a surprise condition on her will that would turn Audra’s life around.
The first weeks went by faster than I imagined. Soon enough, our lunch dates became regular, including Kyle, of course, and we slowly started talking more freely.
It also helped that everything my mom agreed with the principal was arranged properly, so Chris and I were together in about half of our classes. In one of them, we were set as lab partners for the whole year and, on another, we were already paired for an upcoming project. Moreover, in one of the classes, we both coincided with Kyle, who always ensured the fun.
It was much less suspicious to talk to each other after these pairings and our initial ruse. Basically, we now could speak normally and be together whenever we wanted to, but still trying to hide a bit the familiarity we had developed from being with each other all day and living in the same house because that could easily be a bit suspicious.
