Sudden changes

As we treck through a dark hallway with hollow wooden floors, I hear more footsteps joining us. “What's going on?” Jermaine's voice echoes through the darkness, and Olivia snickers behind me in annoyance. “Idiot, your boss said to move this bitch to the second location and stay on the down low.” Oh, no. "I was taking a piss.” “I don't care.”

The touch of coolness and the brightness outside make me quickly shiver due to how long I have seen so much light. The hue in the air makes it obvious that it's early morning, and I quickly inhale a fresh whip of air—unlike the stink stench I was suffocating in inside the horrid place—before I'm being shoved into a dark van.
