The Uncle and Nephew's Scheme

"I've won," Yuga said expressionlessly as he looked at the fallen Delibird.

"Impossible, impossible..."

Muttering incessantly, Touya had never imagined he would lose to someone he had always looked down upon. Not to mention that it was with the same Pokémon he had abandoned.

The emotional discrepancy was too vast for Touya to accept the reality. He even forgot to recall his fallen Delibird.

Seeing Touya in such a bewildered state, Yuga didn't bother looking at him any longer. He simply stated, "You can stay here as long as you want. I'm leaving. As for those Incubators, I don't need them. Verdanturf Town has more than just your shop selling Incubators."

After saying that, Yuga turned and left.

Yuga didn't want to engage with someone who lacked dignity. He simply hoped that this person would avoid bothering him in the future and bring him bad luck.

After Yuga left, he found another store and bought enough Incubators before returning home.

As Yuga arrived at his doorstep, he heard the annoying voice of his Chatot.

"Darling, why were you gone for so long? I missed you so much!"

Without sparing the Parrot a glance, Yuga slapped it aside and entered the shop.

The Chatot was like an indomitable cockroach; it promptly got up again and followed Yuga inside.

While passing by the shop's entrance, Yuga saw Linoone lying there as usual.

"Why are you lounging around here again today? I thought you were trying to quit." Yuga teased.

Although Yuga didn't understand why Linoone and the Great Flygon had undergone a change in behavior over the past few days, staying in the Ecopark all day long without coming out, he didn't inquire further. Seeing them spirited and lively was enough for him.

Upon hearing Yuga's voice, Linoone opened its eyes slightly, glanced at Yuga, then closed its eyes again.

Noticing that it had no intention of acknowledging him, Yuga uninterestedly entered the store.

Yuga had been back in the store for a short while when Touya finally snapped out of his stupor and returned, dejected, to his uncle's house.

Upon arriving home, seeing his nephew looking as if he had been through a frost, Kiryu asked curiously, "Little Touya, what happened?"

Hearing Kiryu's voice, Touya suddenly sprang to life as if injected with chicken blood.

"Uncle, you absolutely have to help me. You have to help me properly teach that guy named Shimizu Yuga a lesson!"

After listening to Touya's account of what happened, Kiryu couldn't help but think that his nephew was really going too far. However, regardless of how unreasonable his nephew was, he couldn't allow anyone to bully him.

It had to be said that their thought processes were quite similar, being uncle and nephew.

"What do you want to do?" Kiryu asked Touya with a serious expression.

"Uncle, I remember that the Day Care is managed by the Breeder Association, right? You know people in the Breeder Association. Why don't we find an excuse to shut down his Day Care?"

Touya gritted his teeth as he spoke. He felt that he had endured too much humiliation all his life, all of it thanks to this Shimizu Yuga. He needed to teach him a severe lesson; otherwise, he couldn't relieve the hatred burning in his heart.

"Foolish!" Kiryu scolded him upon hearing Touya's terrible idea.

"W-What... What's wrong..." Touya was taken aback by Kiryu's sudden exclamation of "foolish" and stammered.

"This YoYo Day Care has been featured on the Lilycove TV station. Do you know what that place is? It's part of the League. The League just praised them, and now you want to claim there's a problem? Are you trying to disgrace the League?"

Touya was left speechless by Kiryu's words, and he weakly asked, "Then what should we do?"

Seeing Touya's demeanor, Kiryu scolded him without reservation, "Look at you. With a mind like yours, no wonder you keep losing to others. Even if you lived twenty more years, you still wouldn't be able to beat them."

"You don't need to worry about this matter. Uncle will take care of it for you. Instead, focus on your Pokémon Contest. Don't you need two more Ribbons to qualify for the Grand Festival? Put in more effort; when are you going to get it otherwise?"

"Yes! I understand, I'll go." Hearing that his uncle would handle the issue with Yuga, Touya happily hurried away.

Once Yuga returned to the shop, he, Audino, and Misaki started making Pokéblocks. Little did he know that a pair of uncle and nephew were plotting against him.

This was the first time Yuga was making Pokéblocks with Misaki. After Misaki arrived, she had been taught how to make both the Heavies and Enigma Pokéblock by Audino.

What Yuga hadn't anticipated was that apart from being excellent at making Pokéblocks, Misaki had two highly capable assistants: a Plusle and a Minun.

Thanks to the help of these two Pokémon, Misaki's speed at crafting Pokéblocks became even faster. Yuga was the weakest link in the team in terms of crafting ability, and the gap between him and others kept growing wider.

Yuga also noticed that Misaki's Plusle and Minun could use their inherent positive and negative charges to better blend the nutrients in the Berry, resulting in higher quality Pokéblocks.

"Misaki, you're truly a genius. How did you come up with this method?" Yuga didn't hold back on his praises, leaving Misaki a bit embarrassed.

"I stumbled upon it accidentally," Misaki humbly replied, "Later, I tried having other Electric-type Pokémon follow the same method, but none of them could do it like Plusle and Minun."

"I think it's probably because Plusle and Minun inherently possess two distinct types of Electric-type energy. These two types of energy attract and fuse with each other," Yuga speculated.

Misaki nodded, finding Yuga's theory reasonable.

"That's probably it. Otherwise, why would other Pokémon fail while only Plusle and Minun succeed? Separately, they can't meet the requirements. They can only maximize this ability when they're together."

While crafting the Pokéblocks, Yuga watched Eevee playing around nearby. He wondered when Eevee would finally evolve into an Umbreon. The variety of Pokéblocks in the store had become somewhat monotonous.

As Yuga was immersed in crafting Pokéblocks, Kiryu and Touya, the uncle and nephew, were plotting against him. Meanwhile, a Trainer with a Lairon was making his way towards Verdanturf Town all the way from Rustboro City. It seemed his target was also Yuga.
