Early the next morning, when Yuga arrived at the Ecopark, he saw the Pokémon inside bustling about their morning training routine, which filled him with great satisfaction.
Now, the training of the Pokémon in the Ecopark had developed into a fixed pattern, so Yuga usually didn't need to worry about it.
Yuga's purpose for entering the Ecopark early today was to deal with the issues concerning Mandibuzz and its Vullaby.
Heading to the Desert Sub-Ecopark, Yuga summoned Pokémon with considerable combat capabilities, such as Gliscor, Gliscor Leader, Vibrava, and Flygon, from Oasis Two and Oasis Three.
"I'll be handling some newly arrived Pokémon shortly. If they misbehave, make sure to give them a firm lesson. Understand?" Yuga shouted to the Vibrava, Flygon, Gliscor, and Gliscor Leader flying in the air. They obediently nodded, indicating their understanding.
With the agreement from his Pokémon, Yuga released the Mandibuzz and Vullaby from their Poké Balls.
As Yuga had anticipated, this group of Vullaby was indeed very irritable. They harbored deep resentment toward Yuga's face, as it was the face of the one who had shattered their community.
Having pent-up frustration while confined in their Poké Balls had worsened their already volatile emotions, causing them to forget that they were no match for the person standing before them.
Just as they were about to launch a coordinated attack on Yuga, numerous stone blades shot forth, striking down the Mandibuzz one after another, leaving behind a series of cries of pain.
Yuga had brought back fewer than a hundred Mandibuzz, and they were utterly incapable of contending with the combined strength of the Gliscor family and Flygon family, which numbered in the hundreds.
After being beaten repeatedly, the Mandibuzz' expressions of anger finally shifted to fear when they looked at Yuga.
However, Yuga knew that these initial reactions were just superficial, and deep down, these Mandibuzz were still cursing him.
Nonetheless, Yuga paid no heed to their initial resistance. Time would gradually wear down their sharp edges.
Yuga had asked Audino to find the Miltanks and stay here, specifically for treating the Mandibuzz' injuries. If they misbehaved, they would continue to be disciplined, and only after they ceased causing trouble would they receive treatment.
Food and water were in abundance here. Aside from the Gliscor family and Flygon family, there were not many other types of Pokémon. With vast stretches of desert and a wide-open sky, it was an ideal place for these Mandibuzz to roam about aimlessly.
Yuga instructed the Gliscor family and Flygon family to monitor the Mandibuzz closely. If the Mandibuzz dared to target the Shiny Ariados and Galvantula living in Oasis One for their hunting needs, they would be dealt with harshly.
As for the still-innocent Vullaby, Yuga entrusted their upbringing to the Swellow family. Growing up in this environment, they would not become as irritable and aggressive as their mothers.
This was a Day Care, and the Pokémon in the Ecopark were meant to be sold to the outside world. Furthermore, many of their potential customers were children, so excessively aggressive Pokémon were not suitable.
For example, Ghost-type Pokémon like Yuga's would not be put up for sale in the shop for the time being. Ghost-type Pokémon were not very friendly to novice trainers and were prone to accidents.
There were also some Pokémon Eggs that Yuga placed under the Weather Tree in the main Ecopark. That area was designated for storing Pokémon Eggs.
Now, Yuga's primary concern was how to subdue the Archeops. Otherwise, keeping the Mandibuzz in the Desert Sub-Ecopark would not be a viable solution.
Just as Yuga pondered this problem, the system issued a new task.
[ Congratulations, Host, on the mission 'Gathering Them In': ]
[ Description: Resolving the Mandibuzz issue is a top priority. Make the Archeops genuinely submit to you, and then have the Archeops appointed as the leader of the Mandibuzz. ]
[ Rewards: Flying-type Pokémon Universal Pokéblock Formula, Rock-type Pokémon Universal Pokéblock Formula. ]
Hearing the system's voice, Yuga wasn't surprised at all, as he had grown accustomed to the system issuing tasks according to his needs.
Although the system had provided a mission, Yuga was still at a loss for a suitable approach.
His strongest Pokémon was the Elite level Volcarona (Dragonite was currently asleep), but it was apparent that Volcarona couldn't defeat the Peak Elite level Archeops.
Once Pokémon reached the Elite level, each level-up became exceedingly difficult, and the power gap became even more pronounced.
Moreover, in terms of combat experience, there was no telling how much stronger the Archeops was compared to Volcarona.
The Archeops had not only lived many more years than Volcarona but had also grown up in the perilous underground world, an environment far more challenging than the relatively tranquil ruins where Volcarona resided.
If a direct confrontation was impossible, then a strategy or enticement would be necessary.
Unable to come up with a solution, Yuga left the Ecopark. However, he took Turtwig with him.
Turtwig had just hatched and was still highly dependent on Yuga. Yuga wanted to take this opportunity to nurture a strong bond with Turtwig, so he brought it along.
Turtwig happily followed behind Yuga, its head adorned with a tender green sprout, swaying as it took each step, looking utterly endearing.
After having breakfast together, Yuga sat in the dining area and retrieved two Grass-type Pokémon Eggs. He used his unique ability to incubate them.
While sitting in the dining area, Yuga suddenly heard the sounds of an argument outside. He furrowed his brow and, with Turtwig by his side, walked out.
"What's going on?"
As Yuga stepped outside, he saw Suzuki Koen standing with a stern expression, facing an agitated young man.
Upon seeing Yuga approach, Suzuki Koen let out a small sigh of relief, as she was finding it challenging to deal with such a belligerent individual.
Before she could say anything, the young man shouted, "You must be the owner, right? You're the one who's been making a name for yourself online recently, something like Clear Water... or Dirty Water... whatever it is. Are you trying to bully people in your shop or something?"
(Note : Yuga surname is Shimizu mean clear water)
Due to the recent popularity of the tournament, Yuga's online presence had risen significantly, and many people had become aware of him.
It was clear that this young man had heard of Yuga as well, but his choice of words and tone were extremely unpleasant.
The young man's words managed to anger many of the customers currently shopping in the store.
Most of these customers were locals from Verdanturf Town, and Yuga had become a source of pride for the town. Hearing someone disrespect Yuga like this made them very upset.
"What's going on here?"
Yuga asked Suzuki Koen with a furrowed brow, speaking in a low voice.
Suzuki Koen quietly explained the situation, detailing the events leading up to this confrontation. Yuga cast a surprised glance at the irate young man.
"I apologize, but we can't allow you to take the Cacnea with you," Yuga calmly apologized, his tone devoid of any remorse.
"Is this how your Day Care treats customers? I reserved that Cacnea and followed your requirements to spend a month getting acquainted with it. Why are you now telling me I can't take the Cacnea? Are you discriminating against me?"
The young man glared angrily at Yuga, clearly dissatisfied with how Yuga was handling the situation.
