Chapter 4

After one week of waiting he finally was contacted by the shady jewelry dealer about his training equipment.

After one day of carrying everything he finally had anything he wanted to help him with his training, a one big metal block that was made out of some hard material, vests with weights and the weights themselves.

And in the box for the weights there was a book there.

"The key to enlightenment? Sounds like some boring fantasy book."

He looked at the first page and read. "You reading this, do you want to become one step closer to learning the truth?

If so, read with attention."

"The truth, what truth are you talking about?"

"If you want to achieve enlightenment you will first have to open your aura nodes, this can be done through daily meditation..."

The more Hudson read the more weirded out his face became. "This sounds like total bullshit, what aura nodes ? Not even a kid would believe this shit."

*BAM*

He threw the book back outside his window but something weird happened, the book floated in the air and hit Hudson in the head.

Hudson instantly got looked around, he looked at the book and his eyes widened.

"W-what ? I thought I threw you out!"

*SWOOSH*

He threw the book out the window again but this time with more strength.

*SWOOSH* *BAM*

The book came back with greater speeds and he blocked it with both of his hands.

His eyes were wide open and his mouth was the same.

"I-it's a cursed book!"

Keep in mind he is still 12 years old, no matter how mature he is, he is still a kid.

He took a windproof lighter from his desk and grabbed the book.

*CHINK*

He opened the lighter and tried to burn the book.

The flame just went out as soon as it came into contact with the book.

After 1 hour of trying various ways of destroying the book he ultimately failed, he looked at the old and dirtied cover.

It looked like it came straight out of a tomb.

"Maybe the curse will dispel if I read the rest of the book."

He turned the page where he was left and the page was blank, he turned another page and it was the same.

All the pages after that were all blank.

"So I have to do that meditation bullshit eh?

I'll do it before going to sleep."

He put the book on his desk and checked out his training equipment.

"I won't be able to train indoors since my neighbours will probably report me to the police, or even worse, to the gangsters."

Hudson saw how gangsters operate while he was searching for prey at night, he got lucky that they didn't notice him or he would've gotten killed.

"I really don't want to move all this stuff somewhere else though, I'll just have to think of something else."

He sat down on his bed and said. "Why complicate things?

I'll just train indoors without making much noise, and if they complain I'll just shut them up with my fists."

He decided to stop overthinking it, if the police intervenes they can't really do anything to him since they can't arrest him.

And he will just run away if the mafia intervenes.

*BAM*

He punched the metal wall that put in one of his rooms and felt pain in the bones of his hands.

Despite the pain, his face didn't change a bit, he was already used to the pain of his fist hitting very hard things.

The only difference right now was that he had a vest that weighed 30kg on him.

After about 10 minutes of repeatedly hitting the block of metal he could feel himself get tired.

He was a little surprised by how hard it was to actually punch with all this weight on you.

But it was impressive to say the least, he weighs around 50kg which is a lot for a 12 year old.

But that weigh comes from his developed muscle mass, if he has a shirt on he would look like a normal kid but after taking it off you could instantly tell he's nowhere near normal.

You could see that he has a sixpack and that if he flexed his hands, veins could be seen all over it.

But the thing that stood out the most were his hands, the bones in his hands were larger and bigger than normal as a result of his training.

Afte he punched until he couldn't anymore he took a small break and then started doing squats with the weighted vest.

Even after he was done with his training he didn't take the vest off, he was thinking that if he lives his day to day life with this vest on it would make him stronger.

He looked at the meditation pose and did one on his bed.

*BAM* *CRACK*

After 1 hour of sitting like that he punched the wall next to him. The wall cracked and the mark of his fist was imprinted in it, even though the wall was concrete.

"I can't do this shit!

With this time I spend meditating I could be outside doing something productive."

He looked at the book and thought. 'But this book is giving me the creeps, I feel like something bad will happen to me if I don't do it.'

Veins popped on his forehead and he said. "Why does a book scare me so much?

I'm Hudson Ahn! I'll do this meditation bullshit just because I have nothing to do before going to sleep."

He went back into position and started sitting still again, while he was meditating he was thinking of opening his aura nodes, whatever those are.

'The book said something about feeling the energy and guiding it through your body, I'll try since it sounds interesting.'

While he was meditating he could somewhat feel an energy, or at least that's what he thought.

He stood in that position until morning came and when he opened his eyes he said with bloodshot eyes. "I still didn't get the hang of it, isn't meditation supposed to relax you?

I feel even more stressed."
