Carving your own path

In the evening when Zhi ruo and Zhi Xin came back they saw all the servants decorating a little and mother Zhi preparing some meals. Wondering about the occassion Zhi ruo asked the servants about it and figured out that some important guests were coming in the evening. When Zhi ruo and Zhi Xin were about to go to their rooms upstairs mother Zhi arrived and asked Zhi ruo to get dressed and in formed that the guests are coming to meet her and get her approval for the marriage proposal.

"Who are they?" Asked Zhi Xin in an angry voice

Grabbing Zhi Xin's arm Zhi ruo looked at him with a pleading face.....

Getting such a face from his beloved sister Zhi Xin reframed his question and this time asked in a soft tone:

" I mean, We were not informed and even Zhi ruo should be given some time to think about it. "

To stop the situation from developing further Zhi ruo smiled and informed mother Zhi that she will be ready and to call her down once the guests arrive. Turning towards Zhi Xin she asked him in helping her choosing her dress and left.

Inside Zhi ruo's room:

five dresses were laid out on the bed by Zhi ruo while Zhi Xin was sitting on the couch and looking at Zhi ruo whereas Zhi ruo was thinking about which dress to choose by tapping a index finger on her chin.

Looking at his sister getting excited Zhi Xin spoke

"Why don't you deny father's request? You know he won't go against you."

Picking up a black coloured gown embroidered with peacockdesigns on the base and red coloured see through net on arms till the wrist Zhi ruo kept it on her body and asked Zhi Xin how it was looking.

Getting angry at Zhi ruo's ignorance he snapped

"Ruoruo"

Immediately realizing that his voice wasn't right Zhi Xin calmed down and told ruoruo

"You know right, that I am with you. In any of your decisions I will always stand by you. Hm? "

Keeping the dress back on the bed ruoruo walked towards Zhi Xin and told him in a low voice

"You are right brother, I can deny.....

But, What if dad gets in trouble because of me? What if the family which is happy today gets sad because I fought for my imaginative happiness? Will you be able to bear it?"

"No, right brother?

Dad has always taken right decisions which will only benefit me...

Now, its high time that you as well start walking with him instead of carving your own path. "

Zhi ruo was right he can fight anything but his family in this world. Even though there was no love in their parent's relationship but he knew that they had respect for each other. Everything was done in order to benefit them. Sighing Zhi Xin started to walk towards door but spoke before leaving

"Aren't you doing the same?"(Smirking)
