Chapter 45

The sheriff started driving in his car. Faster. He was willing to run people down. He actually did once but it was a hunter. We finally got to Lola and Julian. They opened the door and we all squished in leaving Sasha behind. Sasha went to find Casey.

"At some time we are gonna need to get out and fight." Julian said

Jackson agreed.

"We can't just drive around town forever!" Jackson said

"I know that, where's Cathy?" Ethan asked

Jackson pulled me into a hug.

"Where's Cathy, come on guys." Ethan said

Lola and Julian looked at me.

"She's gone." I spoke

You could tell in that moment Ethan was crushed. He hit the breaks. He opened his door. He went to the back of his car and got his guns.

"Dad!" Lola shouted

"Yes?" He asked

"Wait for me!" She shouts

Lola and Julian get out of the car and start shooting down every hunter they see. Jackson, Finn, and I get out. We head toward Casey's house. Sasha and Delilah where outside holding up and shielding spell. We walked in and saw Casey hard at work. There was a knocked out hunter on the table. She was trying to come up with a cure.

"Need any help?" I ask

"I just need you three to help me find and keep this house tidy." She said

Casey ran around her small house.

"Dena I need that over there." Casey said

"Finn I need that big book behind you."

"Jackson, I need you to move over a bit."

I picked up the herb Casey told me to get and I handed it to her. Casey raced around the room like a jet. Scrambling to get supplies she needed. Jackson, Finn, and I just sat on the couch to stay out of her way.

Soon I got bored. I went outside to see what was going on. In the five seconds I was out there was a knife thrown at me just inches above my head.

"I wonder where Stephen and Evelyn are." I say

I find my way to Mandy.

"Hey have you seen Evelyn and Stephen?" I ask

"Evelyn's with Stephen?" She asked in a rather unkind tone

"No, she's apart of his pack... Their not dating calm you jets." I say

She sighed of relief.

"Ok why are to so worried 'bout them?" She asked

"I just have this feeling in my gut that a pack will fall, mine seems safe so I needed to check on them." I say

Mandy looked at me in question.

"Do you have anything of Stephens?" I ask

"I'm wearing his sweater right now." She said

I walked up to her and sniffed her shoulder. She awkwardly backed away.

"I need a scent hold still!" I say

She stand tall and takes off the sweater. She hands it to me.

"Or you can do that." I say

I followed the scent that lead me right to Stephen who held Evelyn in his arms. I ran to them. I saw Evelyn had been shot. I picked her up and Mandy helped him up. Turns out he had been shot as well. Evelyn had been shot with a silver bullet laced with Wolves bane. Stephen was shot with a run of the mill bullet. None the less we still had to get it out.

Mandy was holding Stephen up while he attempted to walk. Mandy had her crossbow in her free hand. She shot everything that came our way. Hunters aren't like werewolves since they can't heal like us, so if they get shot in a place fatal enough then their dead.

We somehow made it to Casey's house. I laid Evelyn on the bed in the guest room. Mandy laid Stephen next to Evelyn. We obviously couldn't ask Casey since she was busy trying to find a cure.

Jackson and Finn came in with some bandages. I used my claws to reach the bullet.

"You ready?" I asked Evelyn

"Just do it!" She shouted

I plunged my claws into her stomach where the wound was. She screamed. I pulled the bullet out and Finn bandaged her up. I did the same with Stephen. Then Finn bandaged him up as well.

Mandy sat next to Stephen. Finn stayed in the room to make sure they remained okay. Jackson and I walked out of the room.

"I got it!" Casey shouted

Jackson and I looked at each other.

"Now I just need someone one to inject it into the hunters." She said

"Would arrows work?" Mandy asked

"I could imagine they would." Casey said

Casey got out her book.

"Mandy gave me your arrows please." Casey said

Mandy handed Casey her arrows. Casey put the arrows in the bowl with the cure. She read the word from the page and the two combined. She picked them up and handed them to Mandy. Mandy put the arrows in her quiver.

Mandy threw me a bow and a quiver she gave me half of the arrows. The two of us walked out and out of the shield. Supernatural hunters came at us. We shot arrows at each of them. The hunter part of them was gone. Then they helped us. Some where just hunters which didn't change anything because it was in their DNA. They continued to shoot at us, which was fun.

Then we ran out of arrows. Mandy and I ran back to Casey's.

"What happened?" She asked

"We ran out." Mandy said

"That could be a problem." Casey said

"What do you mean?" Mandy asked

"I didn't write down the recipe down while I made it." Casey said as she scratched her neck

"Can you figure it out?" I ask

"No." Casey says

"You did it for Finn, can't you use that?" I ask

"I don't know where I put that." Casey says

"Seriously?" I ask

"I can try to replicate it." She says

As soon as Casey said that she got started.
