The sky darkened as the group continued their journey across the coastline of Greed Island. The cool ocean breeze provided some relief after the intense battle with the veteran player, but the tension still lingered. They had defeated a formidable foe, yet they knew stronger enemies awaited them deeper in the game.
Biscuit led the group, the map of Greed Island in hand, her sharp eyes scanning their next destination. She had been impressed by their teamwork and growth, but she remained cautious. The further they ventured, the more dangerous it would become.
"We're making good progress," Biscuit said, her voice breaking the silence. "But we need to stay sharp. There's still a lot we don't know about the other players here, and they'll be watching us after that last battle."
Killua, walking beside her, nodded in agreement. "That guy wasn't weak, and he was probably part of a bigger group. We need to be ready for retaliation."
Tanjiro, who had been walking near the back with Nezuko, glanced at the others. "We need to keep improving. Each fight is getting tougher, and we've seen how strong the people here are."
Nezuko hummed softly in agreement, her glowing eyes scanning the horizon as she remained ever alert.
Yūka, though still recovering from the strain of her hatsu in the previous fight, nodded quietly. "Our strength is growing, but so are the challenges we face."
Gon, ever optimistic, smiled at the group. "We'll keep getting stronger! There's nothing we can't handle as long as we work together!"
Killua shot Gon a smirk, his silver eyes gleaming. "You're always so confident, Gon. But yeah, we're doing well."
As they continued along the coast, the landscape began to shift. The grassy plains gave way to rocky cliffs, and the ocean waves crashed loudly against the jagged rocks below. Far in the distance, the silhouette of a towering mountain loomed, shrouded in mist.
"There's a treasure point up ahead," Biscuit said, pointing to the mountain. "According to the map, there's a rare card hidden near the peak. But it won't be easy to reach."
Tanjiro nodded, his grip tightening on the hilt of his sword. "We've faced challenges before. This will just be another step forward."
The Mountain's Guardian
As they reached the base of the mountain, the group stopped to assess their surroundings. The air was thin and cold, and the towering cliffs stretched high above them, disappearing into the mist. The path ahead was steep and treacherous, with jagged rocks jutting out from the sides.
"It's going to be a tough climb," Killua said, his sharp eyes scanning the cliffs. "But there's no other way up."
Tanjiro took a deep breath, centering himself as he prepared for the ascent. "Let's move carefully. We don't know what's waiting for us up there."
Gon, full of energy, started climbing ahead of the group, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'll go ahead and scout!"
"Gon, wait!" Biscuit called out, but Gon was already halfway up the rocky path, his natural agility allowing him to scale the cliffs with ease.
Killua sighed, shaking his head. "He's too eager sometimes."
Despite Gon's enthusiasm, the rest of the group began the climb, moving cautiously as they made their way up the steep mountainside. The rocks were slippery, and the mist made it difficult to see far ahead.
Halfway up the mountain, the group heard a low, rumbling sound echo through the cliffs. Tanjiro stopped, his senses heightened as he scanned the area. "Something's coming."
Before anyone could react, the ground beneath them shook, and a massive creature burst out from the rocky ledge above. It was a huge, reptilian nen-beast, its scaly body covered in sharp spikes, and its glowing eyes locked onto the group with predatory intent.
"Another guardian!" Gon shouted from above, excitement in his voice.
Killua's Godspeed flared to life as he leapt back, narrowly dodging the beast's tail as it slammed down onto the rocks with crushing force. "This thing's fast!"
Biscuit stood her ground, her arms crossed as she analyzed the creature. "It's protecting the treasure at the peak. If we want that card, we'll have to defeat it."
Tanjiro drew his sword, the fiery aura of his nen igniting around him. "We've faced stronger enemies before. Let's take it down together."
The Battle Begins
The nen-beast roared, its massive jaws snapping as it charged toward the group. Its tail swung wildly, sending rocks flying as it tried to knock them off the cliff.
Tanjiro moved first, his breathing steady and controlled as he activated his Hinokami Kagura. Flames flared around his sword as he dashed toward the beast, his movements swift and precise.
"Hinokami Kagura, Dance of the Fire God!"
With a powerful swing, Tanjiro's sword slashed through the air, the flames cutting across the beast's side. The attack landed, but the beast's thick scales absorbed much of the blow, leaving only a shallow wound.
"It's too tough!" Tanjiro muttered as he jumped back to avoid the beast's tail.
Nezuko, moving in sync with her brother, leapt toward the beast with her claws glowing with demonic strength. She aimed for its legs, hoping to slow it down, but the beast swung its massive head toward her, forcing her to retreat.
"We need to find a weak point!" Gon called out from above, his fists glowing with nen as he prepared to attack. "Maybe the spikes are its weak spot!"
Killua zipped around the beast with Godspeed, his movements a blur as he dodged its powerful strikes. "Let's test that theory."
With a burst of speed, Killua aimed a sharp strike at one of the spikes on the beast's back. His hand crackled with electricity as he hit the spike, and to his surprise, the beast roared in pain, its movements faltering for a moment.
"That's it!" Killua shouted. "The spikes are its weakness!"
Biscuit, her body transforming into her muscular form, nodded in approval. "Then let's focus our attacks there. Hit the spikes hard and fast!"
Yūka, her shadowy hatsu swirling around her, stepped forward. "I'll bind its movements. That should give us the opening we need."
Yūka's shadows surged forward like living tendrils, wrapping around the beast's legs and arms. The beast struggled against the binding, but Yūka held firm, her concentration unbroken.
"Shin'en no Seirei, Bind!" Yūka whispered, her voice strained from the effort.
The shadows tightened, and the beast's movements slowed, giving the group the chance they needed.
"Now!" Tanjiro shouted, his fiery aura blazing brighter as he charged forward.
Gon, Killua, Tanjiro, and Nezuko all attacked in unison, each of them targeting the spikes on the beast's back. Gon's Jajanken slammed into one of the spikes, shattering it with a powerful blow. Killua's lightning-infused strikes hit with deadly precision, cracking the remaining spikes.
Nezuko's claws tore through the beast's weakened defenses, and Tanjiro's sword, burning with nen, delivered the final blow.
With a deafening roar, the nen-beast collapsed, its massive body crashing onto the rocky cliff. The group stood in silence for a moment, catching their breath as the beast's body began to dissolve into shadows.
"We did it!" Gon exclaimed, his face lighting up with excitement.
Killua smirked, though he was clearly relieved. "That was tough, but we pulled through."
Tanjiro sheathed his sword, his heart still racing from the intensity of the battle. "We worked together again. That's how we won."
Yūka, pale from the strain of maintaining her hatsu, let out a long breath as her shadows faded. "It's over."
Biscuit, reverting to her smaller form, smiled approvingly. "You're all improving. Keep this up, and you'll be ready for the tougher challenges ahead."
The Treasure
With the beast defeated, the group continued their climb to the peak. When they finally reached the top, they found a small stone altar hidden among the mist. Resting on the altar was a glowing card, its surface shimmering with energy.
"That's the card," Biscuit said, her eyes narrowing as she examined it. "Silent Ward."
Gon reached out and picked up the card, grinning widely. "We did it! Another rare card!"
Tanjiro smiled at the group, feeling a sense of accomplishment. They had faced tough challenges, but they had come out stronger. "We're getting closer to our goal."
Nezuko hummed softly, standing beside her brother, her presence always a source of strength.
As the sun began to set, the group stood at the peak of the mountain, looking out over the vast expanse of Greed Island. There were still many challenges ahead, but with each step, they were growing stronger—together.
