Forty minutes later.

I was unable to strike a long-term deal with the high-end restaurant owner and employees I visited. But my unusual abilities helped me solve plenty of problems… However, I still had a task to complete after passing the hunter exam… I was forced to finish it this time.

To begin with, me passing the exam was kind of our deal… The owner took a risk on me after seeing what I was capable of. Following a demonstration in which I borrowed and returned the skills, he was kind enough to lend me the skills for three days just in case there was a problem.

When I returned with Kurapika, the first phase had yet to begin, so I was relieved. Satotz was not present.

Tonpa was still up to his rookie-crushing antics. He was doing the same thing with other new candidates, including Hanzo, Pokkle, Ponzu, and some fat guy with a computer.

I looked at my and Kurapika's new status windows before moving on to Hanzo's, Pokkle's, and Ponzu's.

I was not surprised by Hanzo's superior strength over Killua. Killua admitted in the episodes that he was weaker than the ninja. Except for regular fighting, where Hanzo was one tier higher with his tier 4 over Killua's tier 3, he was the same as him in every domain.

Pokkle and Ponzu, on the other hand, were a little more powerful than I expected. Perhaps I underestimated them after seeing how they died in the Chimera ant arc.

I also peered through the window of a girl who piqued my interest but had not been present when I had left with Kurapika earlier.

Her hair was tied back and was long and bushy at the ends. She wore a vest over a long-sleeved shirt, simple pants, and square-shaped sunglasses.

Siper was her name.

As I began looking at the woman's status window, I ousted Hisoka's evil and gay gaze from my consciousness. Since I returned, his dangerous gaze had been fixed on me.

Something told me that this perversion king would attempt something in the coming week.

Siper, surprisingly, had two special abilities. Those were skills she had worked hard to acquire over many years; they weren't natural abilities.

The system held that not all talents were innate and that not everyone was born with them. Some people might be able to get them by working hard.

People without any talents had a higher chance of developing new talents.

"Where were you guys? You returned in time… I was getting concerned for a moment." Leorio asked us when we returned. When the smiling Kurapika replied for me, I didn't respond or pay him any attention.

Today I had to communicate with my system.

The more collected and sane Killua only gave me a mildly curious stare when I began conversing with my system, with whom I hadn't spoken in a few weeks.

'System is what I asked you for available now?' I inquired a bit impatiently.

The system had informed me that as long as I encountered a Nen user, the status windows would be updated. I had now met two of them. I wasn't about to wait until I met Satotz for the system to keep his word.

[Yes, host, the update is complete. Should I update right now? It will take some time. A few minutes.]

My system alerted me. He was using the same channel Severus and the animals were using to communicate with me. Severus and anyone else couldn't hear us now because the frequency was still completely distinct and separate.

'Go ahead. Treat yourself, system.' I chuckled to myself quietly. The system asked because it was concerned for my welfare. He was too diplomatic and practical as a system.

I wasn't sure if we were a good fit because I'm not at all like this.

When Satotz arrived, the update was finished, and he took the steps to stand in front of the entire group.

He was just about to address us.

My attention was drawn back to Hisoka and Illumi.

This time, an updated Nen system was in place to gauge their skills. Normal stats that were unaffected by Nen were distinguished from Nen stats. The target tiers and power levels were also broken down completely and logically in my line of sight.
