Upon the throne

She returned to the cathedral once again to find the same unnatural shapes and sizes gathering around the pew.

She didn't wish to look at any of them though she couldn't even if she wanted to.

Her body was no longer hers to control as much as she tried to resist.

She felt violated whenever she felt the creature inside her belly move.

It whispered dark things to her, twisted things that caused her to wonder just what sort of monstrosity she was carrying in her womb.

The only thing that kept her going, that gave her the strength to not immediately try and kill herself was the thought that they were coming.

Just like they were strong, she wished to be strong like them.

And just like that, she soon arrived on the altar on which a throne forged from bones and cartilage was placed.

She suddenly found herself looking up even as she didn't intend to do so in the first place.
