Chapter 24: Kindred Law

The thunderous voice boomed through the cavern, instantly alerting the council of its presence.
I turned and looked to find Lord Tybirus standing tall and proud in his stature. He was a tall, built man with long grey hair that was tied into a low bun. The hood of his brown overcoat hung behind his neck, and his eyes shone a brilliant green. His presence was as commanding as they said.
“We, as the council, need to come to a decision as a group—not individually. Now, remove your hoods.”
The six other Elders followed his request and pulled back their hoods to showcase their faces. Each of them appeared the same age they were when they turned: some looked older, and some looked younger, but together, they were flawless.
