Chapter: Chasing Love

Layla placed herself through hell. Her body ached like an old lady and she was extremely tired. She had neither given herself the chance to eat nor drink due to the preparations she had put in place. She had been working nonstop for the past 17 hours all for Zane's sake.

Any ordinary person would have long collapsed by now. However, Layla refused to falter. This was not due to willpower alone. This was also a matter of the heart. Layla was in love with Zane and did not wish to see any harm come to him.

One might say that she was pushing herself too hard for just one person. However, to Layla, Zane was her first love. She had never experienced the sensations of the word called 'love' before. She had always been a loner with no need for romance. She was willing to do anything it took to preserve this newfound feeling.
