Chapter 18 Lake Monster

Deep creek lake.

After leaving Washington D.C Aarush is having a conversation with Ben and Gwen by the time it becomes evening and the bus finally comes to a stop at a lakeside.

"Kids let's have dinner." says Max with a smile as he finally got up from the driver's seat.

"Are we going to camp here for the night, Mr. Tennyson?" asks Aarush with a smile looking at the scenery outside the bus window.

"We might stay here for a few days." informs Max with a smile while walking to the fridge before asking "Now why don't you guys help me set the camp outside."

"What are you planning on cooking Mr. Tennyson?" asks Aarush with a smile while holding some utilities from the back of the bus.

"For your welcome, we will have something good just wait to be surprised." informed Max with a smile while Gwen and Ben look at one another with a sigh before walking out of the bus.

"After everything, I want to take a bath." says Ben looking at the lake not far from them.

"Just don't bath for too long it's already night." says Max with a smile before he continued setting up the camp.

"I don't think it's a good idea to take a bath in the lake at this hour of the night." says Aarush in uncertainty.

"Preposterous, we are on a camping trip so we can't think of this kind of thing if you want to do something just do it so you can get a new experience every day.

Remember learning a new thing every day is the purpose of our trip." says Max with a smile as he looks at them.

"Grandpa I also don't think it's a good idea to bathe in the lake water who knows what is in the water, with what kind of bugs and bacteria inside." says Gwen in refute to Max.

"Don't worry about the dangers I am here, for that just dive in the danger and leave the consequence for me to handle." says Max with a serious face before he pushes them forward.

"Come on don't hesitate your guys nothing will happen believe me." says Ben with confidence before he started running towards the lake.

"Ben wait for me." says Aarush before following behind Ben to make sure the kid doesn't get himself in some trouble.

"Grandpa I am taking the torch." says Gwen before she followed behind the two of them.

"Don't take long or the food might get cold!" cried out Max from their back.

Arriving at the wooden dock of the lake Ben jumps towards the Lake without any hesitation on his face "Cannonball!"

"Ben, don't jump without looking below!" before Aarush can warm Ben has already fallen in the water.

"He didn't listen, did he?" arriving behind Aarush asks Gown with a sigh.

"I didn't get to stop him." says Aarush shaking his head with a helpless smile.

"Come on you guys the water is cool and refreshing, stop hesitating already." while looking at one another they hear Ben calling for them from the lake water.

"Ben come out already there can be many viruses and bacteria in the water, what if you get infected?" cried Gwen with worry on her face.

"Don't worry I'm fine and if you don't join me you will miss out on the great opportunity to bath in a lake under the moonlit night." says Ben with a smile trying to get them to bath with him.

"How about you get out of the water first then I can make a small area of clean water for us to bath." suggested Aarush as he also wants to clean himself after the long journey and the earlier events.

"Guys help something got me!" disregarding Aarush's suggestion Ben calls out with a pitiful tone from within the water before he drowned.

"Ben??? " hearing the pitiful cry from her cousin Gwen ran to the edge of the wooden platform before looking for him using the light from the torch on her hand.

"Don't worry he will be fine." says Aarush before his right-hand starts glowing with blue light.

Boom!

The next moment before Aarush can take action the water burst open from the spot where Ben drowned before a giant jumps out of the water with a body covered by seaweed and many different water plants making it look like a water giant from the green luster under the moonlight who cried out loudly at them "Garrrrr~"

"Aaaa~ lake monster!" cried out Gwen before she quickly hugs Aarush while the torch in her hand fell in the water.

"Ben get out or it will get you!" ignoring Ben who transformed into four arms to pretend as a lake monster to scare them Aarush called out in a hurry as he can feel a huge movement underwater before he jumps out of the range of the wooden platform.

"Whaaaaaaaa~!" before Ben can even react to Aarush's cry he gets caught by the lake monster before getting dragged into the water.

"Beeeeen~!" looking at Ben getting dragged into the lake water Gwen cried out in fear and worry but her hug on Aarush becomes tighter.

"Gwen you don't come close to the water meanwhile, I will get him out of the water." says Aarush before leaving Gwen as his legs started glowing with a transparent light.

"Be careful." says Gwen before she loses the tight hug.

"Don't worry it won't take long." says Aarush before he actives his movement skill and rushes towards the water "Sonic wave!"

The next moment after leaving Gwen on the floor Aarush arrives on the lake water and using his magical ability he stood on the water as if solid ground before putting his hand on channeling his magical energy on it before long covering hundreds of meters area around him then saying with a smile "Let me help you."

Underwater, while struggling against the lake monster Ben felt the water around him and the monster slowly moving before a tornado forms around him while separates him from the clutch of the monster before pulling him out of the water while the lake monster gets pushed further underwater "Waaaa~"

"Are you alright Ben?" while getting out of the water Ben gets covered by the green light before hearing Aarush's concerned tone.

"Dude what was that just now?" turning towards Aarush asks Ben with a confused face before falling towards him.

"No time to explain it's fighting its way out of the water." says Aarush with a serious face before he starts running towards the surface pulling Ben as the leg while the lake monster finally gets its head out of the water before chasing behind them.

"Aaaaa~"
