Chapter 6: Hogwart's Express

"You're okay," Arthur breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at the startled girl in front of him. Then he asked, "What's your name?"

"Cho Chang, I'm a second-year student at Hogwarts. I haven't seen you at Hogwarts before, are you a new student this year?" she replied.

"Hello, I'm Arthur Gaunt, a new student this year," Arthur said.

Arthur had already suspected that the girl in front of him was Asian, but he was still shocked.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Chang. I just got my wand and couldn't control my magic," Arthur apologized quickly. Although the wand didn't belong to him yet, he had already decided on this one, thanks to the phoenix that had just appeared.

"It's okay. The phoenix is very beautiful. Don't call me Ms. Chang, just call me Cho" the girl said quickly.

The two of them were flirting shamelessly in front of Garrick.

"Ahem," Arthur noticed the look in Garrick's eyes and coughed lightly.

"Mr. Garrick, I think this wand is perfect for me. I don't need to try others." he said.

"Of course, Mr. Gaunt. The phoenix you summoned earlier is proof enough. This wand will be your best partner," Garrick agreed, waving his hand to tidy up the messed shelves.

He then asked Cho, "Miss Chang, did something happen to your wand this time?"

"No, Mr. Garrick. My wand is still in good condition. I just wanted to buy a set of tools to maintain it better," Cho smiled in response.

After that, Arthur and Cho, who had purchased a set of tools, walked out of the door.

Standing at the entrance, Arthur invited Cho, with a white dress standing next to him, "To express my apology, I'd like to treat you to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour."

Seeing the girl in front of him, Arthur decided to make his move. As for Harry Potter, he could go find his Weasley.

"It's alright, Arthur, you don't have to do this, but the ice cream there is really good," the girl replied.

After accepting Arthur's invitation, they arrived at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and enjoyed their ice cream.

During their time there, Arthur used his past life's jokes to make Cho laugh, and their relationship develops a lot.

When it was time to part ways, Cho invited Arthur to join her in a compartment on the Hogwarts Express and meet her good friends.

Arthur packed his bags and looked at the small suitcase in front of him. He nodded with satisfaction.

"The Extension Charm is really useful. It's not suitable for me to carry big and small bags to school."

He was lucky to have drawn the Extension Charm (purple) in the daily free draw these days and successfully changed a suitcase. Although it was only an entry-level spell, the space inside was enough to fit all his items.

After calling a taxi, Arthur arrived at King's Cross Station. As he walked slowly onto Platform 9¾, he saw someone pretend to accidentally bump into the pillar and then directly go through it. Then Arthur followed them.

As soon as he stepped into the pillar, he saw clearly. Parents and kids were chatting with each other in small groups of two or three near an old steam train. The scene was very lively.

Arthur walked lightly into a compartment, found a seat casually, and prepared to look for Cho after the train started.

Soon, the train departed, and Arthur went from one carriage to another, and his luck was good. After passing two carriages, he found Cho.

"Cho, long time no see."

Standing at the door, Arthur greeted Cho sitting inside, and there was a freckled girl sitting opposite her.

"Arthur, you're here."

Cho was also very happy. Although they hadn't seen each other for almost a month, they often communicated through letters.

When Cho saw the letter sent by Furry, she was also very surprised, and the conversation was she kept asking about the topic of phoenixes.

Arthur immediately sat next to Cho and nodded to the girl opposite them.

"Cho, aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Yes, this is Marietta Edgecombe, my good friend."

"Marietta, this is Arthur Gaunt."

Cho introduced the two to each other.

"Gaunt, of the Sacred Twenty-Eight Gant family? My mother said that this family has disappeared from the British wizarding world and only left a branch in America."

Arthur smiled faintly. "Yes, that's the Gant family. I only learned about it from Professor Snape's visit. You see, I grew up in a Muggle orphanage."

Arthur's expression remained calm as if he had not grown up in an orphanage. Marietta immediately expressed her apology.

Cho, on the other hand, was deeply sympathetic towards Arthur. She couldn't believe that this cheerful little boy had such a difficult life.

Cho was trying, so she reached out with her hand and took Arthur's hand to cheer him. When Arthur looked at the shy girl who still tightly held his hand, his heart warmed.

Although Arthur thought it was great to grow up in an orphanage, as he did not want to call anyone else mom and dad, Cho's care and concern still touched him deeply.

As he held Cho's soft hand in his own, their feelings quickly grew stronger in this lovely atmosphere. Arthur didn't want Cho to worry about him, so he quickly changed the subject and asked her her favorite game.

[I'm not really good at writing romantic scenes, so let's just leave it at that for now].

As expected of a future seeker for Ravenclaw, Cho couldn't stop talking once the topic of Quidditch came up.

But Arthur didn't mind. In his previous life, he thought it looked cool to fly through the air on a broomstick at high speed, and he wanted to try it out in this life too.
