Chapter 220: The Rescue of Luna's Mother

"Thank you, Frederick."

Arthur nodded at the soul in the air and then recalled him back into the Resurrection Stone.

"I thought that after death, there would be another great adventure, but it turned out to be so wrong."

Ravenclaw floated beside Arthur, sounding somewhat nostalgic.

Arthur shrugged, "I prefer to face the unknown as a living person."

It had been two days since Arthur returned from the underworld.

During this time, he repaired the souls he brought back and learned a lot of information from them.

One of the souls was named Frederick Mikaelson, a wizard from the 18th century who had also graduated from Ravenclaw House.

According to Frederick, he didn't resist Death and quickly entered the underworld.

However, his journey to the afterlife was different from Arthur's.

After being guided by a figure, he passed through a long palace before entering the underworld.

Once he arrived, he was in the same state as Ravenclaw when she slept in the Room of Requirement.

He had no idea how much time had passed in the outside world.

It was only when Arthur awakened him that Frederick realized over two hundred years had passed since his Death.

"Rowena, what do you think about that palace?"

Arthur asked Ravenclaw, as he hadn't seen any palaces when entering the underworld.

"It should be Death's palace. But I don't recommend you investigate it now. Even though you're already very powerful, that's the legendary Death himself."

Ravenclaw cautioned.

She admitted that Arthur's strength was unmatched, and even Gryffindor couldn't compare to him in terms of attack power. His space-slashing magic was on another level.

However, compared to the mysterious Death, Arthur still had some gaps.

The Deathly Hallows provided some understanding of Death's tremendous power.

"Don't worry, I won't be that reckless. I'll take note of it and investigate later when I become stronger."

Arthur replied nonchalantly.

He had no intention of meddling in the underworld now, even though having Avalon made him almost invincible.

But he wouldn't waste his time on useless things.

Stretching lazily, Arthur felt a bit tired from two straight broken spaces, which still made him a little tired mentally.

"I'll rest for a while. Rowena, do whatever you want."

Ravenclaw usually went to the Muggle world for research when she had nothing else to do, and Arthur didn't mind.

The next day, Arthur arrived at Luna's house early in the morning.

"Arthur!"

The young witch, Luna, threw herself into Arthur's arms like a bee returning to its nest.

It was the first time they had been apart for so long since they officially became a couple, and even with Luna's composed behavior, she missed him deeply.

Rubbing Luna's hair, Arthur turned his head to look at the entry, where an eye was staring at him in a mean way.

No need to guess, that was Luna's father.

Arthur couldn't help but smile wryly.

Every girl's father treated him like this, and he had gotten used to it.

If he ever had a daughter, he would... probably break the legs of anyone who wanted to pursue her!

He would love to see who would be so bold as to think about his daughter.

After the excitement subsided, Luna asked Arthur why he suddenly came to find her.

"Come with me, I have a surprise for you."

Arthur teased, taking Luna with him using an Apparition-like illusion, leaving Luna's father angry in the room.

In a mountain range, Luna was curious about why Arthur brought her here.

"Luna, if you can't see your mother's appearance, can you still remember her?"

Arthur asked the young witch seriously. Luna was surprised for a moment by Arthur's question but nodded firmly in response.

"Alright, let's bring your mother back home now."

Arthur said, conjuring his wand and using the Invisibility Cloak to hide them as he once again opened a gateway to the underworld.

Having gone through this process before, he was quite familiar with the route.

They traveled through the Ashen Plains, a name Arthur gave to this side of the river.

On the other side of the river, Arthur cast a spell on Luna's eyes, allowing her to see every soul.

It was a little spell he learned from Ravenclaw called True Sight.

It allowed the person to see things ordinary wizards couldn't, such as souls, regular invisibility cloaks, or illusion spells.

"Luna, it's up to you now. Feel which soul is the closest, and we'll bring her back."

Arthur told Luna, her eyes brimming with tears, but she nodded eagerly.

With her sharp intuition, Luna guided them several hundred kilometers deeper into the plains until she suddenly looked in a specific direction.

There was only one soul there, quietly asleep.

In that instant, Luna was certain that it was her mother.

To avoid any mistakes, Arthur first stored the soul in the Resurrection Stone and then repaired it with magic.

When he finished, the soul took on a complete human form, and even without confirmation from Luna, Arthur was sure of her identity.

The soul looked exactly like Luna when she grew up.

Having found the right person, Arthur didn't stay in the underworld. He felt an inner voice urging him to leave quickly.

After returning to the real world, Luna was so thankful that she hugged and kissed Arthur many times.

"Thank you, Arthur."

She kept whispering, trying to say how she felt but only being able to say "thank you" over and over.

"It's okay,"

Arthur gently embraced Luna, tenderly reassuring her.

"I promised you that I would help you find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. Though I haven't done that yet, your wish has come true, so it's something I should do."

Hearing Arthur's words, Luna's eyes filled with deep affection.

Falling in love with Arthur was the happiest decision she had ever made in her life.
