Chapter 22: Quidditch?

Finally, Arthur dragged his entire body when he arrived at the entrance of the Ravenclaw common room.

Although he didn't use much physical strength, he had been using magic to maintain the flying broomstick and had to push it above its limit. That's why Arthur's mentally was tired.

He decided to take a good nap when he got back and refill his energy. However, when he walked into the common room, he noticed that something was off.

It was too quiet. As soon as he entered, all the young wizards in the room looked up at him, making Arthur a little uneasy.

"Amazing! Arthur!"

At that moment, a senior wizard spoke up, and the whole common room suddenly burst into cheers.

"Right, that was so cool!"

"Yeah! A first-year being that amazing, you should join the Quidditch team!"

All the witches and wizards were excited, the heroism of saving someone mixed with the exciting experience. This aroused the emotions of most of the Ravenclaw students.

Arthur stared blankly at the excited crowd, still feeling a bit confused.

'Did the news spread this fast?'

Before he could think any further, a figure rushed to his side and threw herself into his arms.

It was Cho.

Arthur quickly embraced Cho, but before he could speak, her voice came through.

"Arthur, are you okay?" Cho held onto Arthur nervously and checked his body for any signs of injury.

"I'm okay, Cho, I'm fine." Arthur gently stroked the girl's hair, feeling her concern and warmth in his heart.

Seeing that Arthur was really okay, Cho breathed a sigh of relief. Then she gave Arthur's waist a naughty pinch, expressing her dissatisfaction.

Arthur knew that Cho was jealous for risking his life to save Hermione. He couldn't do anything, so all he could do was smile and try to act cool.

Looking at the crowd around them, Cho knew it wasn't the time to talk. She carefully stepped back.

The nearby Ravenclaws saw the two finish talking and immediately rushed over.

"Arthur, how did you ride the broomstick so fast?"

"Arthur, is it really your first time riding a broomstick?"

"I heard you caught that Gryffindor so easily, are you really that powerful? Let me touch..."

'Hiss! How can they be bold touching him?' Arthur panicked. He was afraid that he would be taken advantage of.

Just then, Roger Davis pushed through the crowd. He was the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and the guy who asked Arthur for tips on how to chase girls during the Sorting Ceremony.

Roger struggled to push through the crowd and shouted at Arthur, "Arthur, Professor Flitwick wants to see you in his office."

Arthur felt as if he had found a rescue and shouted loudly, "Excuse me, everyone, I have to go see Professor Flitwick!"

"Let's talk about later, when I come back!"

The other Ravenclaws saw Professor Flitwick had called Arthur to his office and hesitantly made way for him.

Arthur breathed a sigh of relief and ran out of the rest area as if he was running for his life.

Meanwhile, what happened in flying class also spread to the other houses. First, Arthur used the levitation charm to save Neville, then there was Harry and Malfoy's flying chase, and finally, Arthur's heroic saving of Hermione.

How could the young wizards not be curious when so much happened in one class?

In the Gryffindor common room, Ron motioned seriously as he repeated Harry's story during the flying lesson as if he had done them himself.

Suddenly, George and Fred grabbed Ron in a hug side by side.

"Alright, Ronnie, you've told us enough about Harry. Now, tell us about Arthur's story," said George.

"Yeah, Ron, tell us how Arthur saved Hermione," added a young witch named Angelina Johnson, a Gryffindor Chaser.

"Alright," Ron said with a sigh, but he shifted on to tell how Arthur chased after Hermione and caught her when she fell.

When the students in Hufflepuff heard about Arthur's heroic deeds, they were filled with admiration for him, as their house was made up mostly of honest and kind-hearted people.

However, Slytherin's attitude toward Arthur is the opposite. On the one hand, he had slapped a Slytherin in the face during the sorting ceremony, and now he was stealing the spotlight once again.

Many snakes were already ready to find a chance to teach Arthur a lesson.

On the other hand, there were some young witches who were totally attracted to Arthur's looks. Moreover, Arthur was both genius and skilled, not only in class but also in sports.

The Slytherin's respect for the strong made it impossible for them to hate Arthur. As a result, the two groups of Slytherin actually had a big fight because of Arthur.

Arthur had no idea of the impact of this situation. He had now arrived at Professor Flitwick's office door and lightly knocked.

"Come in!"

Professor Flitwick's voice came from inside, and Arthur pushed open the door and walked in.

Just like last time, he glanced around before walking up to the desk.

"Please sit down, Mr. Gaunt."

Seeing it was Arthur, Professor Flitwick's face lit up with a smile, and he motioned for him to sit.

"Mr. Gaunt, your performance today was really amazing. To accurately cast the levitation charm at that speed, even many adult wizards cannot do that."

Clearly, Professor Flitwick had already learned about what had happened and greatly respected Arthur's fast casting of the levitation charm.

"You flatter me, Professor. I just did what others would do in that situation." Arthur humbly replied.

Professor Flitwick didn't continue on that topic and instead turned to ask, "Mr. Gaunt, do you happen to know anything about Quidditch?"

Arthur's heart skipped a beat when he heard this.

'What did he mean? Did he also get a script like Harry's? Was he planning on joining the Quidditch team himself?'

"Sir, I have a general understanding of the rules, but today was my first time flying, and I haven't really tried playing Quidditch," Arthur replied.

He had a girlfriend who was a Quidditch fan, and she had taught him the rules of the game. She always tried to get him to support her favorite team, The Tutshill Tornados.

"Excellent, Mr. Gaunt," Professor Flitwick replied even happier. He then asked, "Would you be interested in joining the Ravenclaw Quidditch team?"
