Around eight o'clock, Albert's three roommates entered the auditorium like zombies. "Good morning!" said Lee as he took a seat next to Albert. A plate of food appeared in front of him. He shovelled a large sausage into his mouth from a plate of food and muttered, "I feel like my leg is about to break."
"It's not as bad as you claim," he said. Albert closed the 'Disillusionment Charm and Co, who then stowed it away in his bag.' "Just walk it off or I'll take you to the school hospital and let them get you some delicious of that medicine you love," he said, patting Lee Jorden on the shoulder.
"Forget it!" Lee Jorden fainted when he heard about the school hospital because he was afraid that his friends would take him there.
The twin brothers couldn't help but laugh at Lee. "If I slap you on the back of the neck, it'll help you forget the pain in your legs," Fred, who was eating an omelette, advised.
"I can do it for you," George said.
"You guys aren't being real are you?" Lee Jorden said as buried his head on his breakfast and glared angrily at the twins.
"Avoid getting sidetracked and eat quickly. I don't want to be late on the first day of school, especially since our first lesson in Hogwarts will start soon," Albert emphasised.
A red-haired boy who looked to be the twins' brother stopped by while they were eating. "Are you used to Hogwarts yet?" he smiled as he sat down next to the twins.
"Is the Quidditch team going to practise at this hour, Charlie?" In shock, George peered at the other person's attire.
"It's a warm-up session. Not everyone has used a broom since last year, after all." Naturally, Charlie remarked, "Gryffindor must claim the Quidditch Cup this year."
"By the way, Charlie, the team still needs more members. Can we be a part of the Quidditch team? I can bat, and so can George. You are aware of our abilities." Fred said.
"You just started Hogwarts, and you won't be able to join the Quidditch team until your second year, so don't even consider it. If you can pass the trial the following year, I'll let you join the team as reserved." Charlie promised.
"There are always going to be special cases, right? You can join in the first year as well, provided you do really well in flying class," the twins said, blinking at their brother.
"Who said that?" Charlie Weasley inquired. Even though he is the captain of the Quidditch team, he cannot pick his team too carelessly and he could not pick a first year.
The Gryffindor House as a whole is the responsibility of the Quidditch captain, after all. You won't be able to lift a head in the Common Room if you lose the game because you'll probably get picked on.
The twins both turned to look at Albert at the same time.
"Why are you staring at me?" Albert inquired after rudely interrupting his conversation with Hannah.
Charlie became even more perplexed after following the twins' gaze on Albert. He did not know what his two strange brothers were trying to accomplish.
"I chose players for the team yesterday as the team stayed the same. You can attempt to join the team the following year. The beaters position can use this year as a reserve, but don't expect to play." Charlie Weasley sputum a little.
It's a good idea to train the twins as the team's future beaters because two of the current beaters will graduate this year. Charlie is also very aware of the skill levels of George and Fred and can adapt the strategies to suit them in a timely manner.
"So, we can take part in training too?" The twins' unmistakable excitement could be seen in their eyes.
"You should be free this afternoon, right?" Charlie said as he considered it, "Today, let me check... I'll reserve the Quidditch Stadium for 4 o'clock. You will first be required to complete some drills, and I will base my decision on what you guys will do on those results. Do nothing foolish while you're there."
"We won't," said the twins together as they nodded.
Groups of people hurriedly exited the hallway and made their way to their classrooms or common areas before the professors gave the students a five minute warning. The four boys located the Charms' classroom on the fourth floor because they had already explored the castle on Saturday. The Hufflepuff students took part in the charm lesson taught with the Gryffindor students. There were many students seated in the room when they walked in.
Hannah and Angelina arrived early as well, and they were chatting with people while seated at the front table. All the good seats in the front row of the classroom are taken. The only seats available to the four of them are in the back row. The Weasley twins sat next to each other, and he sat next to Lee Jorden.
When the bell rang, Professor Flitwick walked into the room. The professor of Charms was a diminutive man who, if Albert remembered correctly, had goblin ancestry. Professor Flitwick had to stand on a stack of books during class because of his short stature in order to reach the desk. Nobody gave a damn, and no one dared make fun of his diminutive stature.
Albert got PTSD from his time in college when Professor Flitwick took a register before the class began. The professor showed the Dancing Feet Charm, | Tarantallegra |, in the first portion of the charms lesson for everyone. He caused several books on the table to tap dance before making them jump higher. Then he continued by adding more books and turned it into a ballet. Somehow, Swan Lake was playing in the distance.
The books neatly reverted to their original position after the performance and fell back onto the desk in front of Professor Flitwick. The students all cheered enthusiastically as this magical scene drew in them and were eager to learn the spell.
"You must practise a lot if you want to reach this level." Following the applause, Professor Flitwick said. "Go to page three in your textbooks now. Personally, I think that understanding the charm's underlying theory will significantly increase your chances of casting the desired spell successfully."
Professor Flitwick had given a lecture on the subject's fundamental theory during the second part of the class, after which he had the students take copious, intricate, and challenging notes. He repeatedly emphasised the right wand motion and the right way to pronounce the spell while also emphasising their significance.
Albert felt Lee Jorden elbow him a few times while Albert was focused on taking notes.
"What is the issue?" Albert asked in a low voice as he turned his head helplessly.
The twins at the adjacent table were pointing at Albert's quill, and Lee Jorden showed Albert. Naturally, Albert understands what he means. They didn't bring any quills to class. Albert placed his quill on the desk and softly uttered the Doubling Charm.
"By the way, lend me a hand," said Lee Jordan.
"Why didn't you say it earlier? You didn't bring parchment either." Albert acted shocked as he spoke, as he already guessed they brought nothing. They didn't have a bag with them when they entered the Great Hall.
"After you're done taking notes, just lend me a copy," Lee Jorden jokes.
Albert's mouth twitched, and the people in the front row, alongside Angelina, Alicia, and Hannah, gave them strange looks in return. The entire class heard them because they were too loud. Of course, Professor Flitwick, who was seated at the podium, heard as well, but he kept quiet. He continued, elaborating on some of the magic theory not covered in the book.
