The Eleventh Birthday

He was elated. Painfully going through eleven years for this day, he was expecting the biggest party in the world. He learnt so much in the last eleven years, but the biggest problem was that he knew that the most significant part of his life would start now, at the age of eleven. Although, his parents were mostly tensed during this time, he was very clear as to whether or not he would go to Hogwarts. That was because his grandfather had already showed him the letter of acceptance a few days ago.

He asked his grandfather, "Grand Father, how were you so sure that I was going to attend the school? I heard my mother say that is was very difficult getting into there."

"Hehe, that is why you shouldn't listen to muggles. We are nobles. I am on the board of Hogwarts. Even if you were a squib, you would have attended. Of course, I wouldn't have let you out of the house if you were, but you aren't are you?". Arthur said, significantly creeping Will out. It felt that every time that Arthur spoke, he was out for Will's blood.

Will left the room immediately, quite in the celebratory mood that he got his admission, but he kept it a secret at his grandfather's request, nay, order. He did not escape the worse parts of being a part of a noble house. Over the years, in school, he had made a lot of friends, but he could not stay over at any one's house, because Arthur wanted him to decrease his contact with muggles. He also forbade a party of his own for his eleventh birthday, and said that the only party would be the one which Arthur would host. But, with eleven years in the noble house hold, Will was significantly accustomed to all the traditions and rules, though he detested a majority of them. But, he appreciated the format that would be conducted for his party. He was excited indeed, but only for the final D-day. The preparation, he detested. Trying on multiple suits, and getting the right watch, the right shoes was all a huge pain that Will hated in the current life and in the past.

"Well, how does this one look Young Lord?", a maid asked, putting a suit up to Will's neck, facing the mirror."

"Yeah, this one also looks fine."

"You must decide Young Master. Else, the Master will be angry."

"Fine, let's see another one. This doesn't look good enough."

"Yes, Young master, we shall look at another one.".

The whole room was strewn with different clothes. He got his own room at the age of five, and he didn't even have to worry about cleaning it. The house elves took care of all that.

"Well then, Young Master, how does this one look?", the maid held another suit. Will looked at the mirror. He did indeed like the suit very much, but years of learning the 'noble' manners taught him to be very conservative in his expressions.

"Yes, this one is very suitable. I will use this one. Now then, it seems that my attire is settled. I believe that I will no longer be required for any other matter?", he asked.

"No young master. The master has allowed you to play, but he asked you to make sure that you are well rested for today. There are many esteemed guests that will be arriving, and it would be a shame to disappoint their expectations to see the heir of the Monroe house.", the maid warned him.

"Yup, I will take care. Now then, where is Jeffrey? I want to play tennis.", he asked, running out the door.

"In the courtyard, tending to the bushes.", the maid said, raising her voice so that Will could hear her words.
