Finally, after years of waiting, one of his most awaited moments had arrived. It was time for Will to go shopping for school supplies. In all the years of living in a magical household, it was ironical that most of what he used was not exactly magical. Will wanted to get so many things, but of course, at the top of that list was the most magical of them all, a wand.
Will went to the market place with his parents. His grandfather deemed himself too busy to accompany a child to go shopping. Will knew that Arthur wasn't busy in the slightest, but he also knew not to expect anything even remotely loving and compassionate from him. The three of them entered the alley through the pub's entrance. The three of them did not want to use floo powder, because they had valuables with them that they could not afford to lose, falling in travel.
Will opened his mouth in shock the moment he witnessed the opening that was Diagon alley. He looked at everything with wonder. He saw a lot of children just plastered to the windows, window shopping. He heard them say, "Look! That is the new nimbus 2000! I want that broom. If I did, my life would be worth it."
He chuckled listening to that. Little did they know that he himself had it. They continued down the lane, and went to the biggest building there was. A sign was plastered on the front that read, 'Gringotts Wizarding Bank'.
They went into the bank, and Raphael went to the counter.
"I wish to withdraw funds from my account.", he said.
"Do you have your key?", the creepy goblin behind the counter asked Raphael. Raphael took out a small golden key from his pocket and handed it to the goblin.
"Well then. Identification?", the goblin said.
Raphael took out his want from his robes and handed it to the goblin.
"Please follow me.", the goblin said, leading them to the cold tunnels that would eventually lead them to the vaults. They went down the tunnels on the cart, and stopped in front of a vault.
"Vault 115.", the goblin announced as he got off. He waddled down to the gate and put the lamp on the side.
"Key please.", he asked. He took the key from Raphael and opened the vault. The vault slid open, and low and behold, gold shimmered even from the small opening that was created. Will saw the vault was filled with galleons, and he looked at it with wonder. Raphael went inside and snatched a handful of them, and left the vault.
They left the bank, but Will could hear the jingling in Raphael's pockets the entire walk back.
"Well then, shall we get your supplies? Or shall we start with your wand?", Daphne asked Will.
"The supplies. I want to save the wand for last", Will said.
"Very well then. I was so sure that you would ask for the wand first.", Daphne said, curious as to his choice.
"Well, I have waited for this for so long. Why not wait a little more time, and save the best for last.", Will said.
"Sometimes, I wonder about the things you say. You don't seem like a eleven year old kid at all.", Raphael pondered out loud.
The next hour or two was spent on finding Will's books, his robes, and all of the little miscellaneous things that were needed. Finally, when they were done with everything, they stopped in front of the bank, which was conveniently next to the shop that they just visited.
"Now for the wand!", Will shouted with excitement.
"Okay then, to Ollivanders we go.", Raphael said cheerfully as they headed away from the bank.
