I felt the cold breeze from my window as my eyes suddenly widened open. *Shit, this nightmare again? When will I get over this?* I thought to myself. "Well, I'm already awake. Let's get ready for school. Don't wanna be late for the first day," I said to myself. I put on my uniform, grabbed my bag, and started heading to school.
I sat down in one of the open seats. I heard, "Hey Vera, nice seeing you're still around," my friend said with a mocking voice. "Very funny, Matt," I responded. "QUIET DOWN, EVERYONE. THE PRINCIPAL WANTS TO SPEAK," we heard a voice say as everyone quieted down. "Thank you. So, welcome everyone. For our third years, congrats on making it this far. We know it's not easy. For our second years, if you're alive, that means you passed the first year successfully. And for our FIRST YEARS, we'd like to welcome you TO Gun Point." As the principal kept talking, I zoned out and started thinking, *I can't keep dealing with this nightmare... I just need to get over -* "Hey Vera, you know we need to get to class, right? Like now?" I heard Matt say. "Oh yeah, sorry. Let's get going," I said.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Jason, but you can call me Mr. J, and this is QT 101," our teacher said.
A student raised her arm, "Mr. J, will we be learning about Jesse James in this class?" Classic teacher's pet behavior.
"Ah, a curious question, but no, that's in Mr. R's class of CH 101, Nana," Mr. J said with his normal tone.
"Miss Vera Goldly, you're still here?" I heard a man behind me say. I recognized that voice to be the one and only Jason Jr. "And you're still alive? Man, I thought I saw a dead rat on my way to school. Apparently, it wasn't you."
QUIET DOWN, YOU TWO!" Mr. J yelled. The entire class turned their heads and looked at us.
"Dad, she started it!" Jason Jr. said while trying to act like the victim.
"In this class, it's MR. J. Both of you, detention."
"Bullshit, I didn't do anything! He started it! Why should I go as well?" I yelled loudly.
"NOW!" Mr. J yelled.
As I got out of my seat and started walking towards the detention room, I heard Mr. J yelling, "Quiet down," as he tried to take control of the class.
As I exited the classroom, the rest of the class went silent, and nothing else existing happened.
"Okay, people, you got detention on the first day? We might as well get to know each other. My name is Mrs. Woods. I'm the teacher of P&ET," she stayed silent for a few seconds, staring at us.
"Well? I said my name. Go on, introduce yourselves."
Another few seconds of silence, and then Jason Jr. broke the silence as he stood up, "I'm the Great Jason Jr-"
"Yeah, sure, whatever you say, my lord," I said sarcastically.
"Well, I'm guessing you two know each other," Mrs. Woods said.
"Yeah, this dickhead is the source of most of my problems," I replied.
"OH yeah? Well, fuck you and your shitty parents. Oh wait, you don't have an-" Before he could finish his sentence, I gave him an uppercut to the face.
"BOTH OF YOU, QUIET DOWN AND SIT NOW. DON'T MAKE ME CALL THE PRINCIPAL," Mrs. Woods yelled, her voice echoing through the classroom.
*Man, I hate criminal school.*
