Lucas only knew, what was going on through absolute luck.

Otherwise, he would have been in complete darkness on this matter.

Lucas was happy and excited to finally meet his family and friends.

He was looking forward to their reunion.

He wanted to witness how much his sister Luna has grown up and his parents were doing.

He wanted to meet his friends whom he had promised to return safely and exchange what they had experienced face to face.

He wanted to reunite the feelings they had when they were 5 years old.

He wanted to spend time with them so they could erase the gap they had by not being with each other though it didn't happen.

Lucas waited for Adrian in the airport as promised, however, Adrian didn't come.

Lucas returned home, spend time with his family and Hayden but the one who promised to wait for him didn't even show his face.

It had been a month since he returned but he didn't get any news on Adrian.

It wasn't as if Adrian was the most important person in his life moreover Lucas always feel irritated and annoyed in Adrian presence.

Adrian wasn't important but when he wasn't by Lucas side then he would feel something missing in his life.

Lucas don't know what's this feeling was, maybe a habit or something he didn't know.

He had developed the habit of taking care of Adrian and Adrian following behind him.

Even when they were thousands of miles far apart from each other, they would always inform one another when they have to go on a mission or when they wouldn't be able to get in touch.

So he didn't feel as if they were separated or out of touch but when he didn't get any information this time.

Then, Lucas understood that habits were dangerous.

Despite being irritated whenever he saw Adrian, he had become Lucas habit which he didn't seem to be able to get rid of.

Lucas waited for him though he didn't get news.

He slowly got used to being at home.

He would spend time with Luna, Hayden and even Amelia.

If not for seeing Amelia he wouldn't have remembered that he was in a novel though now he didn't feel anything regarding that.

Because the story has diverted and changed.

As much as he remembers in the story everyone has really taken training for 3 years and now 10 years have already passed.

He had read the book to the point where they went for training and how much time they spend on training.

So, he didn't put much thought into that and returned home after small talks.

Just as he had returned home, he heard his parents talking in small voices as if they were afraid someone would hear them.

Lucas wasn't the type to eavesdrop but he didn't know what comes in him, he silently moves behind his parents and tried to listen to them.

But what he did as a prank ended in serious findings.

" He really was in serious condition," Olivia shakes her head in sadness.

" We are really keeping it secret? Lucas would be mad if he knew about it," Olivia worriedly looked at Eugene.

" What can we do, it was his decision to keep it from Lucas, Let him be the one to bear consequences once Lucas knew about it, these children.....haa..." Eugene sigh as he thought about his son's reaction.

Lucas was shocked and furious.

From the conversation between his parents, he had at least concluded that certain someone has grown up to the point where he didn't have to worry about them.

Lucas stormed out from there.

He runs towards the garden.

He was furious and worried.

" He dared to hide things from me, ha hahaha" Lucas angrily laughed.

"Just you wait, the things you have done to me will be returned to you hundred folds," Lucas silently vowed that day.

Maybe he was overreacting but his heart hurts thinking the person he had taken care of has hidden things from him.

The person who had shared everything with him(L) like a brother since their birth had now become so big that he(Ad) would hide things from him(L).

Maybe for others, he was being unreasonable but he would never forget what Adrian did that day.

Maybe Adrian didn't want him to be worried but hiding things from him and letting others know really hurts.

Soon Lucas overcomes those things and completely block Adrian from his mind and heart.

He focused his remaining days on building his base in the land given to him by Marcus.

He established the information network and soon find out the complete truth regarding Adrian injury.

He didn't want to admit why he established this base.

According to him, information is the basic foundation regarding business, but could someone tell him his first project shouldn't have to start from Adrian.

He finally knew, when Adrian was leaving for home and was on the way to the airport he was attacked by the group of thugs and was heavily injured.

If it was only fighting then Adrian would have the slightest chance to win but they had guns so he was shot luckily the help came soon and was saved.

Adrian didn't know why he was stopped and attacked. It was only known later that he was attacked by the people who wanted Hemsworth to perish from the world.

Their brilliant plan was to kill Adrian so the Hemsworth family won't have anyone from the 1st son to run the company but everyone knew who was the main culprit.

In a powerful family, even family members couldn't be trusted if your father had any siblings then it is for sure that there will be a fight for the throne even the family's rule was already determined.

The real culprit was Adrian's uncle mainly aunt who wanted her son to be the head of the family.

Lucas knew if it was known he was near Adrian, he would have been involved in the family.

Lucas was sad and furious that someone was after Adrian's life but what hurts more was his friend couldn't trust him and leaned on him when he needed the support the most.

Whenever Lucas thoughts these messy things he really didn't want to forgive Adrian but he also knew if he was in that situation then he wouldn't have also contacted Adrian but that didn't mean he wouldn't torture Adrian at all.😏😠
