Chapter 8

The other parents trying to keep their social status in mind readily agreed to the settlement offered by the principal but they still wanted some form of action against me. To which, the principal decided to suspend me from school for 2 weeks and this was my second day in school. Satisfied with the decision, the other parents went to the nurse's room while my parents dragged me home.

It was complete silence on our way back home, I didn't know what to expect. After we reached home, all my father asked me was did I hit them first, to which my response was yes. Immediately he slapped me multiple times and I fell, crying, covering my face to protect myself. He sent me to my room saying I was grounded for 2 weeks.

I can't believe that he didn't even ask me why I acted the way I did. I looked at my mother with only disappointment showing on her face. In my mind, I thought my parents would care, would worry but if they won't listen to what I have to say, what the hell am I supposed to expect from strangers such as people in my school? Was I sorry? Did I feel guilty? I did not. I went to my room, crying myself to sleep...
