Jeremy had imagined it too. For the past few weeks, up to the moment he boarded the flight to look for her here.
Maybe some people would have advised him to stay back. After all, he was the one who had been embarrassed that night. But if he thought about it carefully, it wasn't just him. Chloe had it worse and he had been the one to put a break she hadn't allowed on their relationship. Of course, it hurt him that she had left like that without trying to fight for what they had. But he wasn't looking for a fighter. He just wanted someone who loved him and was willing to stay by his side. Someone he loved and found peace with. If that meant putting his pride aside and coming to find her here, then he would do that over and over again.
