chapter 9 the talk

moving through the halls to my father's solar, I look at the tapestries on the wall and knights in black and gold armor standing guard along the corridor leading to the door. in all honesty I'm a little anxious and I am sure you maybe wondering why, well it's because of the fact that I'm about to half lie half tell my dad the truth about myself, well if you look at it properly it's not really a lie.

I stand before the door and knock, while waiting for a response I start going through my plan over again and sigh trying to ease my tension and look normal.

"come in" I hear my father's voice giving me entry

I stepped in and I see my father must have just finished some paperwork with the papers that are still to his side and he is now sipping some whine now while relaxing back on his chair.

"father I'll like to discuss something with you"

he raises his brow at me questioning

" not even a greeting, well it must be something important seeing how tense you look "

I curse myself he knows! let's just hope he doesn't see throw the lies or at least the truth part moves him enough to give me free reign.

"yes father, it's about something that's putting me on edge and I need your permission for"

the was a quiet pause between us before he gestures me to continue

"I had a vision while I passed out the day of the bonding between myself and bahamut, I saw the volcanoes spitting fury and valyria covered in layers of smoke and veil of darkness, but then I was draged off to another scene where I stood before giant dragons so big that valyria look like their toes. The dragons were fourteen in number and the one who spoke to me said his name is arrax,he was a blood red dragon with golden eyes like moltengold horns and claws as black as night"

I stop for a moment to see his reaction, and there I see the look I was hoping for asking me to continue and so I did.

"He said that when he first meet the valyrians the showed promise and curiousity to learn, they among other in the world had the potential to bringing the world to a grand new stage and he bleesed our people with everything we needed to get to where we are.

But we went through dark mean and built and empire on evil things, defiled or hands by digging into magic so dark that it taints our yet unborn children and the gods have decided to see to it that none of the blood of valyria will remain in the sky, yes time will come that the will glide but only for a brief period in the eyes of the gods before the taint takes what is theirs.

But he said that to destroy everything the have invested into the realms of men would be a waste, the can not just watch as shadow and cold takes these lands the saw from when it began to spring life at the early mornin of the first days, they can not let invaders take what the swore to protect.

So he said that they shall wipe their slate clean and start anew again, they gave me a choice and I ascepted and they crowned me their champion and charged me to prepare for valyria's rise"

I watch as my father look at me contemplating in his mind what seemed to me from his expression was how serious the revelation I just gave, but one thing is for sure he considered what I just said as the truth.

"This..this is good news my son it confirms my own dragon dreams as well" replys my father. Then he looks at me with an even more serious expression

" You will tell no one of this and I mean no one, if the other families know that you are the gods chosen then even if the other lord's do not believe the doom approaches they will still be jealous of anyone being called champion of the gods from our family and although I am not afraid of assassin's we don't need them changing plans or taking the dragon dreams seriously anymore, the gods wrath is set and men's heart turned stone. It is our families chance at owning it all without getting our hands dirty"

" So I don't need their eyes on you for now"

"What ever mission the gods give to you relay it to either myself, your uncle's and Aldin only and we will help you"

" We will start your lessons on ruling next week, and I'll personally take you on your combat training and bonding with bahamut"

" You will also be accompaning me during the dragon lord's assembly"

" And why, may I ask am I to accompany you to the dragon assembly " I ask my dad with a little confusion

" Politics" he gave a short answer before asking me to leave.

Walking back to my room I contemplate how I should carry out my system missions and decided to not buy anything from the system till the doom and just go about making sure legends about our house reach's far and wide, and prepare the navy troops for sea combat as well as horse riders for calvary and mounted bowmen although the bowmen will be equiped with bows from the modern era but that will be for later.

I got into my room went to my reading table and set down some parchment for my planing. Looking at the partchment and quill I feel a little bit anoyed, although this body has live here and learnt to write with these it does mean the me after awakening likes these thing, not one bit.

I look down at the parchment right in front of me and I keep wondering what changes my being here will cause the whole story thinking about it all I'm always filled with so much uncertainty but I'm also excited I don't really know how I should go about this but I know one thing is for sure I need allies I need to make sure that the other families don't get a whiff of what I'm doing.

But I don't really think there is a need to dissuade them because already they think that our family is crazy or trying to stop them from continuing the experiment but I don't really care, what is just on my mind now is to train soldiers, complete missions so I go to buy more summons i also have to spread legends about my family to help a lot when our family comes back into the political scene all I see is all just exciting.

I keep hearing about smoke the shadows as a really big tip off I don't really know what that crazy rob is trying to do but I hope it's all exciting heck it is the song of ice and fire we are talking about noway it is not exciting but I think I should also be careful and not spread runic teaching for now as to not leak it, so I won't do that now so that only one to have such knowledge will be within my ranks within our family.

Speaking of leaks I could bind them with the contracts that could solve a lot of things then I'll start to research through my knowledge to get stuff that can increase the strength of those around me like my fiance and my family I could also do use that on my Kings gaurd and royal gaurd.

And then there is my plan to build a huge empire but maybe not at first, I don't want too much opposition besides when valyria comes back there will be a lot of eyes on us and I'm not counting on the targaryens being allies they are not reliable from my perspective and down the line they always go crazy so it's in my best interest to distant myself from them .

I'll see to it no one from my knigdom have any form of connection with them for now and I don't really like their religion remembering how their religion actively shame bastards and allow corruption but really don't mix it up stuff like that happens in the free hold but firstly it's not backed by religion it's just the dragon lord's somewhat fear and besides valyrian bastards are still respected outside valyria and secondly the targaryens are stupid they allowed the faith off the seven too much power it's as if they didn't do their research before invading them, if they did they will just how strong their faith is and should have drawn up plans to run during and after their conquest to curb the religion or at least limit them as much as possible and the faith of the valyrians would have slowly introduced as their conquers religion to counter and slowly convert the lord through either marriage or replacement, they should have struck the iron while it's hot what a shame. There were many ways but I guess it's just like them, their story is one of idiots with power.

I need to think of contingency for a lot of characters that will come into play I don't really like Daemon Targaryen so I'm going to look for an accident for him although he is not really that bad I just dont like his character too arrogant and pompous he doesn't really truly care about anything except himself honestly and then viseris now that one is just plain old stupid so I won't be helping them anytime soon and I'll allow whatever that's going to happen happen, let him stew in the pot that they are cooking I feel a little bad for his wife but what ever I will not get involved with this bunch the only person I consider killing with my hands is Otto hightower but who knows at that time It will be off my mind I'll be busy building my empire here in ESSOS.
