Shots Fired

The first spray of bullet came a few moments after the girls were no longer within harm's way, aimed right at where the now semi-transparent knife was floating, from the dad's point of view, he only saw some of the pellets get stuck in the air and that some other had go through.

The knife had flown away into the background and despite clearly receiving a shock, the shelf didn't make a sound.

For the three young women, the sight was completely different, instead, they saw the grey man's stomach be blown apart, a fountain of blood had started coming out like a macabre geyser, his guts slithered to the ground as he was thrown back against shelfs in the back, crashing into them with a loud crack of wood.

The intruder's wound didn't stop bleeding and it didn't weaken either, liters upon liters started flooding the ground.

Despite all of this, the man in grey calmly stood up and, ignoring that he was standing in his own entrails and blood, he once again tried making his way toward Marina, still walking at the same pace and not even having as much as a slight shift in his facial expression.

The knife had completely turned invisible for the father by now, but the few pellets that had gotten stuck were still perfectly visible and seeing that thing was still moving, he shot again, pushing it down onto the ground and into a corner of the kitchen, then unloading the full brutality of an automatic shotgun until he only had a single shot left, his magazine was twenty-round one, so he had unleashed a total of nineteen shot, seventeen of which were at point blank, he had certainly ruined some of the walls but it was just material damage, the most important was safe.

For the three that could see the result, it wasn't pretty at all, Gabrielle was already adding her puke to the cascade of blood as the other two stared at the corpse, which hadn't stopped bleeding at all, it was still flowing down without stop but clearly, Narissa's father wasn't seeing or noticing any of it.

The second shot had stuck his left elbow, making everything below it dangle from a sliver of meat and muscle, after he had fallen into the corner, the third and fourth shot had respectively blasted his right shoulder and mouth, leaving him with one less arm and a completely busted face, the shot had pretty much annihilated his teeth and lower jaw altogether.

The rest of the shots only built upon the already severe damage, leaving the man in grey as nothing but a stack of flesh, barely recognisable as a person.

Narissa and her dad were talking about something whilst Gabrielle was heaving and repeatedly gagging as she felt like throwing up again but Marina wasn't paying attention to any of them, she was instead looking intently at the remains of the killer.

The man that had killed and assaulted without any repercussions, doing so whether it was the dead of night or broad daylight, the man that had broken into this house without any problem and taken multiple shotgun shells with wavering.

The man that had changed his appearance in the literal blink of an eye.

That man was no man, she was certain of it, everyone was too shocked to think deeply and point it out, but Narissa's dad had said not to be able to see the man they had talked about, he might just not have seen him at first, he had accurately shot him afterwards, so it appeared as though he was seeing him just like them but Marina, convinced that this thing defied all logic, she could only see the unnatural answer.

By now, the neighbors must have called the police, so many loud gunshots were deemed to have gotten the attention of everyone, still the blonde eyed the corpse with suspicion, expecting that the next time she would blink, it would disappear without a trace.

However, what she expected didn't happen, instead, the moment no one had the corpse in their sight, all of the blood popped out of existence and standing in the place of the corpse, the man in grey was back to normal and immediately took a step forward but this time, he didn't go for Marina and instead struck Narissa's father in the back, it seemed like he just pushed him without much force but he was sent flying away, his weapon flying out of his hands.

He did the same thing to Narissa before turning his attention to the blonde but she was already going away, not very fast as she prefered to have the snail slow killer in her sight.

She carefully held onto the walls as she backtracked into a hallway.

She threw whatever she could get her hands on at him but he barely acknowledged the hits, taking one of those heavy, metal doortop to the face without a care, despite the fact that he clearly felt the strike as his neck moved backward suddenly.

She kept on trying to run but she had chosen the wrong direction for this, she had gotten herself in a situation where she could only go toward him.

Seeing her to his mercy, the intruder stopped in an uncharateristic manner, seemingly assessing whether or not she was actually helpless.

He was about to lunge forward when his vision changed, a large blindspot of darkness appeared in between his eyes, he could no longer see the girl in front of him and soon collapsed the the floor.

Marina stared at Narissa, since she had just split his skull in half with a meat cleaver.

"I think I sprained my wrist..." she lamented, dividing someone's head wasn't easy at all.

This time, however, the man in grey didn't wait for people to stop looking at him to stand back up, the cleaver still embedded in his head, his brain exposed for everyone to see.

The intruder looked at them running off as he walked after them, his vision still impeded severely.
