Tera has experienced all kinds of life. From bitter to sour from sour to sweet from sweet to bland. Everything she went through in the patience and strength she had. All this time, Tera had been silent about the fact that her life had suddenly taken a sharp turn. She had been at the lowest point, when she had to stop her college activities because her parents had no more money to pay for semesters and were in debt, after a few months she postponed college activities, she had to be hit by another attack with her right hand can function and cannot be treated because they do not have money. Then, after turning 27 years old and everything she's been through and she's almost happy now. Everyone even asked about Tera's happiness. "Why are you so stubborn to get to this point, Ter?" Ghina asked Tera as they had lunch at a restaurant close to Tera's office. "Have you ever felt tired or bored living your life?" Gio, Tera's client, asked at one of the roadside restaurants during break time. "Are you happy, Tera?" he asked again.
Gio starts to square off to take the spike given by the setter.
Today he had his first training session at Gor which was rented from his PLN team. He already knows several people because he was on the same team as the Indonesian National Team. Because, he didn't feel too clumsy the first time he practiced as he did now.
Like Erza, the captain and setter of his team, who also joined his in the National Team a few years ago. Even in the National Team, Erza is only a backup. At least he already knew, even though he wasn't familiar either.
"You went to the office yesterday, didn't you?" Erza greeted him when Gio was drinking the isotonic he brought from his apartment.
Gio nodded briefly, he wiped his sweat with a small towel. Today's training was quite tiring.
"I saw you yesterday. You're waiting for the elevator alone with Tera."
Tera. His boss was a bit of a nuisance. His relaxed yet mysterious demeanor, as well as his sweet face. Was he polite only on the first day of practice but already asked the others about the Boss?
Gio looked at Erza curiously when he heard Erza call Tera by her name only without the embellishments of Mother like the others.
"I have known her for more than 5 years. She is also younger than me." Erza explained while understanding what Gio's gaze meant to her. "How's Turkey? The training must be crazy, huh?"
"Wow, no kidding, Bro." Gio smiled as he remembered the first day he trained for his turkey team. "On the first day, I was ordered to do physical exercise almost from noon to night. The next day I was told to get up early to run around the city."
"One city? It's stupid. Just crazy! Running a marathon or physical exercise?" Erza glared in disbelief.
"I swear to God." Gio laughed when he saw Erza's reaction. "I was also surprised at first. But he said I'm used to the practice there. Just get used to it. When it was winter too, I didn't feel sweaty, it seemed like I was freezing when I was sweating."
Erza nodded his head. "That means that what's different from Indonesia is only the training session, right?"
"Yes, kind of, it's more signed in practice because the team is already solid from the tone. So if you play it's really good. I don't see it because new kids have to do that. It's good, if I may be honest."
Erza laughed, understanding why Gio would say that. In Indonesia, seniority is still important. Where new players must experience a period of 'orientation' which makes new players get pressure from the old players and also the coach. Although not all teams are like that. However, there is always something that makes Erza sometimes angry when hee hears the story.
"At the very least, the technology is more sophisticated there. We can't be sneaky, if we get touched, we pretend we don't feel it, just what about the referee. If there, there will be a technology challenge immediately. It's only small things that are questioned, whether they really enter or not. Was it really touched or not?"
"That's right!" Erza laughed loudly. "I'm good here. If I block even if that ball hits my finger a little, I'll feel it, because they hit it hard, pretend I didn't hit it, so that's out."
Gio laughed too. "Yes, that's right. Here I can pretend I didn't get hit. If I was there, I wanted to pretend I wasn't hit, I already have the evidence. It's also hard to cheat on it."
"But, she said, Tera wants to rent a technology challenge for the league later, anyway."
"Oh?" Gio thought that Indonesia would never use it because the rental price was very expensive. Also, she needs a technician who understands and is quick to do it if there is a team in need.
"Yep." Erza nodded. "She said that no one cheated, she just wanted a little. She wanted to play fairly."
Gio clicked in amazement in his heart. Under the leadership of Tera. PLN ProLiga will be the first and only one in Indonesia to rent such sophisticated equipment. Of course the cost is very expensive. Plus by hiring Gio. No wonder in the team this time, they did not hire the services of people from abroad. Because the cost will be very expensive. Tera's budget will not be the same as her estimate. Not to mention renting a hotel for out-of-town players, boys and girls. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner should have different tastes. Vehicle accommodation. The building, the training ground, and so on.
"Well, the child has a long life."
Gio then looked back at what Erza was pointing at. Tera who is currently not wearing her official clothes. She only wears a cream-colored satin shirt, her flagship baggy jeans, black converse shoes, and round earrings, a face that is always without makeup, or uses only light makeup. Don't forget, braid hair makes it even more beautiful. The players and Gio then held their breath, as the smell of Tera's perfume began to fill the training room which contrasted with the smell of sweat. Fresh and elegant perfume. Like the person.
Tera briefly greeted some of the players who deliberately greeted her. She then turned to Mr. Benny who was talking with the PLN volleyball team manager who was at the end of the room.
On Sunday morning Tera was informed that there would be an impromptu meeting held at the training studio to start the first training session. Fortunately, Tera, who was checking her cell phone, hurriedly prepared herself and immediately booked the fastest flight ticket so that she could arrive on time in Jakarta. Luckily for her, when she arrived at the training ground, it turned out that they had not yet started the meeting.
"Mr. Gio, Erza." Tera said hello as she passed Gio and Erza who were busy talking on the sidelines.
Gio was still holding his breath, while Erza was immediately grinning when she was greeted by Tera.
"It's a beautiful day in my life to see how pretty you are this evening." Erza blinked her eyes.
Tera laughed as she gently patted Erza's back. "It's still morning."
"It's already 2 o'clock, anyway."
Tera was still laughing when she left Gio and Erza's place. Unknowingly, Gio then let out a long breath.
"Crazy. Her beauty makes my heart stop." Erza was still amazed to see Tera who had a serious conversation with Mr. Benny and also Mrs. Dian, as the manager of the PLN volleyball team. "Beautiful, really. But honey, she's so cold. Like a polar princess!"
Gio was still staring at Tera's back. Her shirt is slightly transparent, showing her ideal body shape, and a sports bra that matches Tera's skin. It made Gio feel like covering it with the jacket he was carrying so the men who were here wouldn't see it.
"What cold?" Gio tried to get his voice back when he was silent for a while.
"Cold." Erza looked thoughtful. His eyes were still loyal to Tera. "It's kinda more mysterious. She's a very warm person, fun to chat with, kindly connects with any topic, isn't stiff when meeting new people, and knows when to be serious when joking. Anyway, the definition of smart, beautiful, kind, elegant, and intelligent. The complete package. But, that's about it."
Gio looked at Erza with a deep frown. "I still don't understand what you've talking about."
"How many guys has she been close to? I can't count. But, that's all. The guy approaches her, and she responds, just like what I said earlier. But, there is no progress. She's like that to everyone. She made herself close to everyone, even though she was actually far away. You'll be free to tell her how you feel about your day, she's also free to tell you."
"Oh, like those types of picky girls? Does she want to say something mysterious, but, if you've been approached and kept on ghosting, are you upset?"
Erza was stunned for a moment, when he understood what Gio meant, he laughed loudly. "She's not like what you've talking about. She's more like ..." Erza thought of the right words to explain to Gio. "Mysterious."
Gio chuckled loudly. Feeling annoyed by waiting for a long Erza thought about the words she said earlier. "You said that too earlier, silly!"
Erza laughed. "I'm serious. Usually, when a girl is picky, every time she's approached, there's a sense of monotony. It's boring. She feels like she wants to be chased, but she doesn't want the effort. Tera is different. She doesn't feel like she has to fight alone. She will also give the effort to you. But, your relationship with hee only ends there. Nothing more."
"You say that as if you've ever been close to Tera."
"I even got to know her mother."
"Her mother?" Gio's brows dipped sharply.
Erza nodded. "Her mother. But, well, that's all." Then he chuckles. "You won't understand. If you want to understand, just try to get closer to her, I'm tired of explaining."
It feels like Gio wants to beat Erza too. If you don't remember who Gio was chatting with and where he is now. Gio made sure that Erza would be left with a name when she returned home.
