Chapter 4 : Kaijinmaru Exam ll

"Cough!! ... Cough!! ..." - After performing CPR, the black-haired person regained consciousness and coughed up a large amount of seawater.

"Thank God, you're alive," - Touta smiled happily when he saw the black-haired person wake up.

"Did you save me?" - the black-haired person asked after finishing his coughing fit and didn't hesitate to bow towards Touta in gratitude - "Thank you for helping me."

"You're welcome," - Touta smiled as he extended his hand for a handshake - "My name is Konoe Touta, and you?"

"Tokisaka Kuroumaru, nice to meet you, Konoe-kun," - Kuroumaru smiled as he shook Touta's hand, feeling happy to meet such a kind person in this strange place.

"You can just call me Touta, Kuroumaru," - Touta said with a smile as he helped Kuroumaru to his feet - "By the way, what were you doing in the sea?"

Touta was very curious as he just wanted to pass the time, but he didn't expect to end up saving a person.

"My boat was swallowed by a tornado, causing me to drown in the water," - Kuroumaru said, as he hadn't expected his luck to be this bad. As soon as he found his target and went to eliminate him, he was caught in a tornado that he couldn't do anything against, leading to the destruction of his small boat and his drowning in the sea.

"You have bad luck," - Touta smiled lightly as he consoled Kuroumaru - "By the way, if you don't have a specific destination, how about joining us?"

"Join you?" - Although Kuroumaru had a specific destination, his interest was piqued by Touta's indication that they were more than one person. After Touta spoke, Kuroumaru noticed that Yukihime was standing behind Touta.

Yukihime was an extremely beautiful woman with milky-white skin and purple eyes, along with blonde hair that reached her feet. Anyone who saw her would be enchanted by her, especially with her well-proportioned body in all the right places. Her allure was clearly evident from the looks of others on the boat, but it seemed different for Kuroumaru.

"Evangeline A.K. McDowell!!" - Kuroumaru exclaimed as he summoned a sword from thin air, staring at Yukihime with fear and caution.

"Kuroumaru, are you a Bounty Hunter?" - Touta asked with a dark expression, as his previous mistake with Tachibana had put Yukihime's life in danger. If she weren't a vampire, she would have been killed, and that's why Touta disliked bounty hunters.

"Bounty Hunter? You're mistaken," - Upon hearing Touta's question, Kuroumaru felt confused but answered honestly - "I am a member of a clan of Immortal Hunters, and I have been sent to eliminate Evangeline A.K. McDowell, known as the Dark Evangel."

"Dark Evangel? Well, since you're not a Bounty Hunter, it's fine," - Upon hearing Kuroumaru, Touta stared at Yukihime curiously, but he no longer cared about Kuroumaru's killing intent towards Yukihime. Although he was directing his fighting intent at Yukihime, he had no intention to kill, not to mention he was far too weak compared to Touta.

Kuroumaru ignored Touta's mumbling and disappeared to appear in front of Yukihime, with the sword in his hand targeting Yukihime's neck. He knew that Yukihime possessed incredibly strong immortality and couldn't die from just a head cut, and thus there was no hesitation in his movement.

"Huh~, Shinmei-ryū," - Yukihime murmured as she caught Kuroumaru's sword with two fingers and stared at him with a nostalgic look, as she had a past with Shinmei-ryū.

Even though Yukihime was lost in a moment of nostalgia, she did not hesitate and pierced Kuroumaru's heart with her other hand, casually throwing him aside.

"Did you kill him?" - Touta asked curiously, and he didn't seem to mind Yukihime killing Kuroumaru, since Kuroumaru had attacked her first and should be prepared for this outcome before attacking.

"No," - But to Touta's surprise, Yukihime shook her head lightly and pointed at Kuroumaru - "Look, he's still alive."

Upon hearing Yukihime, Touta walked towards Kuroumaru curiously to see that Kuroumaru's wounds were healing visibly.

"Is he also Immortal?" - Touta asked curiously, as he was new to this world and didn't know much about Immortals and other things.

"That's right, it's ironic that an Immortal Hunter is himself an Immortal," - Yukihime said nonchalantly, leaning against the ship's railing and staring at the approaching storm, as everyone began to clear the deck.

"This is amazing," - Touta murmured as he watched the hole in Kuroumaru's chest disappear in a matter of seconds - "I wonder if he's a girl."

Seeing Kuroumaru's beautiful face, Touta couldn't help but think he was a girl, even though he spoke like a man. Thus, he curiously extended his hand to see what was inside Kuroumaru's pants.

Touta moved his hand lightly without making a sound, as he clearly did not wish to disturb Kuroumaru's sleep. He grabbed the edge of Kuroumaru's pants and wanted to lift it to check what was inside.

"What are you doing!!" - At the moment Touta grabbed his pants, Kuroumaru quickly sat up and punched Touta on the head hard, as he hadn't expected to be harassed while he was asleep.

"Well, you have a cute face, so I wanted to make sure if you were a girl," - Touta said with a smile, rubbing his head where Kuroumaru hit him, as it stung a little.

"I'm a man!!" - Kuroumaru shouted, but the redness on his face only raised doubt among others, as no matter how they looked at him, he was a beautiful and cute girl.

"Really? Then let me check if you have a penis or not," - Touta said, clearly skeptical of Kuroumaru's words.

"Don't say penis!!" - Kuroumaru yelled shyly, covering his ears, as it was evident he was not used to such vulgar language.

"..." - Yukihime stared at the interaction between the two and couldn't help but smile, as she was happy to see that Touta didn't seem worried about becoming an Immortal.
