Chapter 84 Hatake Sakumo’S Team Is Surrounded By The Earth Style Legion

Under normal circumstances, the elder group wouldn't wield such significant power. During the First Ninja War, in his quest to secure the Hokage title, the Third Hokage won over others in the F4 group by granting them considerable benefits and authority. It's hard to retract those now.

"Senior Lu Xin, I'll inform Shigeru. If the suggestion isn't approved, let him know not to dwell on it further."

Even though the elders are opposed, there's still room for Tsunade to lobby. The real issue is that the Third Hokage isn't willing to take risks. With both the elders and the Third Hokage against her, it's difficult for Tsunade to make headway.

The news from the village reached the frontline camps that day.

Shigeru initially intended to visit the headquarters but decided to send someone to inform Nara Lu Xin instead, asking him to come over.

"It seems Tsunade-hime was right; your cooking skills are quite impressive."

Pouring the vegetables into the stewed broth, Shigeru placed the pot on the table and invited Nara Lu Xin to sit down.

Without the village's backing, even if Nara Lu Xin personally approached Hanzo the Salamander and convinced him, it would be futile. After seeing Nara Lu Xin off, Shigeru changed his clothes and went to the medical room's ward to begin his usual rounds.

As Shigeru entered the medical room, the medical ninjas and staff greeted him warmly.

"Thank you all for your hard work," Shigeru responded with a smile, acknowledging each one.

After making his rounds and ensuring everything was in order, he returned to the lounge. Exhausted, Shigeru lay down to catch up on the sleep he had been missing.

Meanwhile, in the courtyard camp battlefield, Jiraiya lay sprawled on the ground, looking disheveled and somewhat defeated.

"Ahem! We're not going to die here, are we?"

After coughing and wiping away the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, Jiraiya laughed at himself. "Shigeru's words were spot on. We're still too young."

Hatake Sakumo wanted to roll his eyes but was too drained to even lift a finger. He could only lean against a rock, trying to regain his strength.

Among the trio, only Orochimaru was in better shape. It wasn't that Orochimaru was significantly stronger, but his reactions were swift.

"Ahem! How should we contact the camp?"

Hatake Sakumo closed his eyes and said nothing. Orochimaru, sitting calmly, retrieved a scroll and produced a crow puppet from it.

The crow puppet emerged from the scroll, surveyed its surroundings, and hopped onto Orochimaru's arm.

"You sly snake, Orochimaru, when did you have time to play with summoning beasts?" Hatake Sakumo, resting with his eyes closed, opened them to glance curiously at Orochimaru.

The three of them were in dire straits. While pursuing ninjas from Sand Shinobi Village, they were ambushed by Iwa Ninja Village. No one anticipated such an assault from Iwa Ninja Village, which had not previously targeted Konoha.

Luckily, their combined strength enabled them to escape Iwa's encirclement.

Hatake Sakumo was gravely injured and unable to fight, while Jiraiya fared worse, with wounds still bleeding.

Ignoring Jiraiya's banter, Orochimaru focused on the crow puppet in his hand: "Can you contact your master?"

Just as Orochimaru was about to continue, the crow puppet's eyes glowed, and Shigeru's drowsy voice emerged from its mouth. It seemed he had been roused from sleep.

Jingyi was indeed sleeping, trying to catch up on his rest, when he suddenly heard someone calling him.

The puppet, brought to life by reincarnation, could serve as both a monitor and a communicator, although its range was limited, allowing for controlled communication.

Orochimaru quickly summarized the dire situation: Help!

In the camp's lounge, Shigeru suddenly snapped out of his daze.

"You're saying you were ambushed by the Earth Style Legion preparing for Iwa Ninja Village and are in a bad state, correct?"

"Correct."

"Understood."

With that, the crow puppet returned to its dormant state.

Jiraiya, lying on the ground, stuttered, "Damn, damn Orochimaru, what is this thing?"

Hatake Sakumo remained silent but was equally intrigued.

This thing was simply unbelievable.

Even from afar on the battlefield, they could communicate with Shigeru in the camp via a crow puppet. If there were more such puppets, it would be a nightmare for enemies.

Konoha could monitor enemy movements in real-time.

Remote command could be executed directly.

"It's a puppet created by Shigeru, not a summoning beast," Orochimaru explained, then sat back against the rock.

He seemed in better condition, but that was only superficial. Without his quick reflexes and speed, he would likely be in the same state as Jiraiya and Hatake Sakumo.

Both Jiraiya and Hatake Sakumo felt their understanding of the ninja world challenged.

Are such puppets really possible?

In the camp, Shigeru dressed, donned a raincoat, and quickly left the medical room to head to headquarters.
