His redemption

Everybody knew he had it all. Fame, girls, shit ton of money, beautiful parents, charming brothers and best friend.... but, did he! Damon Stone didn't grow up like any normal child. At the early age of 10, he had to learn how to take care of his 8 and 7 year old brothers because his parents were never home. "We won't be home until next week honey, we love you three so much. Take care, mommy and daddy will be home before you know it" They'd say. But it was all a lie, he realised later that all they said was a load of bull and he loathed them so much for choosing money over their own children. His hatred blinded him so much that he started taking it out on other people. At his school, he was known as the 'Demon' with a heart of Stone and he couldn't care less. He loved it, all the fear, it's like he fed off of it. He loved the way girls would practically shit themselves under his gaze just for them to come begging for a one night stand. The way he would intimidate men both older and younger than him due to his strong built body, he loved it. Until he met her. They say that even the coldest hearts deserve to be let in, will she be his saviour! Or will he teach her all he's ever known. Destruction.

The closet

Change. A word so easy on the lips, but I knew I'd never get to taste it with ease. Coming here I thought that it was the beginning of something.....scary and no doubt, painful. I've always been organised in everything I do. Whether it be house work, school and even the people I let in my life but this time, I didn't have control of what would happen once I got here. Everything was like a hurricane. Swirling me into the never ending pit of confusion, hurt and self-doubt.

But, I forgot a little something about change. It's not always bad. Sometimes, embracing change means letting go of all fears and doubts and embracing the unknown with open arms, ready to discover what lay ahead. And now, looking at the two most beautiful girls in the world sitting across me argue about whether or not ketchup should be legal puts all my worries to rest. They remind me that there is goodness out there and that no one deserves to be alone no matter what their race is or the color of their skin. They accepted me for who and what I am without a second thought and now I can proudly say that I have best frien-:

":-hello! Blossom are you even hearing whT i am saying?" Kee snapped her ketchup covered fingers in my face, some of it going on my white and might I add, NEW shirt.

"You stained my shirt." I groaned watching in horror as the stain grew bigger and more orange.

"You'll have to pay her back for that." Jup stated bluntly taking a bite from her apple. Kaylee scoffed and put more ketchup on her fries. I'll hold off my statement for now.

"Pay her back my ass! Thats what she gets for zoning out on us again. What the hell do you be thinking about anyway?" Kaylee scoffed licking her fingers clean. I rolled my eyes at her and packed my stuff.

"I'll be right back." I grumbled standing up.

"Don't bother. Lunch will be over in 5." Jup waved her hand at me dismissvly. I nodded my head at her and made a bee-line for the girls' restroom.

"We'll meet in the lot after school. I love you Bloss." Kee yelled after me turning a few heads. One of those being Alessa that I have been avoiding like a plague since the 'incident'. I turned my head away from her and practically ran away from the cafetaria.

"Oh God!" I grumbled looking at my reflection. One would think I was a baby for crying out loud. I grabbed a tissue and damped it in water, using it tor scrab the stain in vain. As time went by, the stains only grew bigger and worse so I decided to give up. The bell rang a short while after signalling the end of lunch. A group of cheerleaders walked in the restroom giggling at an inside joke. I quickly packed all my stuff and tried as best as could be to hide my embarrassing shirt. I passed them on my way out and prayed to God that they didn't notice me.

"Who was that?" I heard one of them say, giggling as if what she said was funny.

"No one important, apparently she's new here. Another scholarship kid from Africa." They all burst out in laughter and moved on from the conversation. I sighed and decided to head to my next class.

"THROW THE DAMN BALL WRIGHT!" Mr Tucker yelled at me for the hundredth time since I got here.

"I am!" I released the ball in anger and frustration. It hit one of the kids in the stomach and he doubled over in pain.

Mr. Tucker clapped his hands whilst looking at me with pride in his eyes. I threw the other ball down and ran towards the kid. His friends helped him sit properly just as the school nurse came in with a first aid kit in hand. I rubbed his shoulders in a soothing manner hoping it'd ease the pain to no vail.

"GET YOU'RE BEHINDS OVER HERE BEFORE YOU GET DETENTION." Mr. Tucker yelled in frustration and like that, everyone dipersed from the scene like the kid didn't matter. I stayed by his side as they took him away on a mini scooter.

"May I be excused sir!" I mumbled softly, knowing how irritated and short tempered he can be. He waved me off and I took off in the direction of the infirmary.

"Nurse! How is he doing?" I breathed heavily waiting for her to finish writing in her notebook.

"He's fine dear. He's just a little sore that's all." She smiled reassuringly but I felt even worse about what I did. She left to go check on other students and told me to go back to class but I couldn't. One, I just sent a person to the infirmary and two, my bones are aching from all the physical activities Mr. Tucker made us do. I relunctantly walked back to the gym and cleaned myself up before anyone else arrived in the girls' locker room and changed. I carried my gym bag and tiptoed out of there before anyone else noticed I wa:-

":-well well well! What do we have here." I froze at the sound of his voice. I was doing well, sooo well at avoiding him and his friends just for this to happen? I wanted to scream my lungs out.

"Something that will stay between us forever!" I replied with a hint of sarcasm. I relunctantly turned around at the sound of his laughter and gulped. He was leaning against the boys' locker room in a baggy short and vest. His body was covered in water, the liquid effortlessly dripping from his no doubt silky hair to his broad shoulders. Beautiful was an understament.

"When you're done admiring me, will you care to explain why you're skipping class?"

"Huh?" I mumbled like the fool I was. His lips stretched to a smirk and he approached me.

"Is this another tactic to be alone with me again?" I scoffed and took a step back. Who in the world does he think he is?

"Excuse you Stone! I would never do that." I placed my hands on my hips irritated and glared at him.

"You wish that was believable."

"And you're about to start wishing you never stopped me from leaving this place." His right eye brow rose up in question and he folded his arms over his chest. Just then, we heard a group of girls barging through the double doors. In a flick of a second, Damon grabbed me by shoulders. He opened the janitor's closet and squized us in both just before they could see us.

"What in the world are y:-" He put his hand over my mouth but let go once everyone had passed.

"Quiet or else they'll hear us." He whispered harshly. His wet body made my clothes soak. I tried to move as far away from him but the space wouldn't let us.

"Why do we have to hide?" I harshly whispered back growing agitated every second that passed.

"Hopefully, you won't find out." He looked at the passing students through the little holes in the door and sighed.

"Too ashamed to let anyone see you with me!" I didn't know just how much those words weighed until they left my mouth. It was like someone had thrown a brick in my face.

"What?" He mumbled. His eyes widened a little in a question manner. His brows furrowed and his lips tightened in a thin line.

"That is so far from the truth." His voice, usually steady and confident, wavered slowly as he tried to respond. His words tinged with a hint of hurt and disappointment.

Or not! It was very hard to concetrate in this cramped up space. His presence only made it harder for me to concetrate with nearly every part of him touching mine. He brought his hand up and cupped my cheek softly, as if I were a delicate glass. I didn't notice it when his other hand sneaked behind my back and brought me impossibly closer to him. He brushed his lips against my cheek, his hair tickling my neck in the process. My lips parted in shock as I felt a lump start to form in the pits of my stomach. It was so uncomfortable and soothing at the same time.

"Damon." I gasped softly and closed my eyes. He kissed my jaw line all the way to my lips but only stopped when I tensed. I opened my eyes and starred straight into his gray ones, the little light from the cracks illuminated his orbs they appeared icy.

"What! Why d:-"I questioned but he cut me off.

":-we have time." He mumbled and opened the door. He stepped outside to the now empty corridors and I did too.

"You should head back to class before you're late again." Again? How did he know I was late for gym class. I didn't have time to ask as he quickly turned on his heel and left without another word.
