Pain

Leofric and Freya strolling through the park.

"Um, Leofric I have something to tell you and I don't mean to offend you in anyway but I have made decision". Freya tells him.

"What is it, finally fed up with me? I understand, thank you for all the love and affection you showed me and tha....." He starts sadly.

"What?! No! That's not what I meant or how I wanted it to sound Leo, trust me I am not leaving you for anything in this world babe. I just wanted to tell you that I am travelling home to visit my parents that's all" Freya quickly reassures him.

"Don't ever scare me like that again" he says letting out a relieved sigh.

"You know how dangerous it is now with everything that is happening". He says. "I know which is why I want you to come with me, I want to introduce you to my parents. I remember you telling me that you never got to meet them I my other life so here is your chance". Freya tells him.

"I don't think I can meet your parents Freya" Leofric says sitting on a bench in the park. "Why? I thought you would be happy to meet them" she says.

"It's just that I can still remember the scream your past mother let out after discovering your cold body on the floor and the broken sobs of your past father pleading for you to come back, to stop playing games and open your eyes." He admits

"Oh no, don't tell me you still feel guilty about what happened then Leo besides I'm pretty sure they will not bear any resemblance to me past parent. I'm the only one that is reincarnated right?" she tells him.

Leofric stays quiet digging his fingernail into his palm leaving crescent shaped marks on them. Freya walks towards him, sits on the bench and engulfs his hands with hers.

"I can't understand the pain you feel Leo and I will not be able to until you let me in" she says looking into his eyes.

"I'm scared of losing you again Freya, sometimes when I close my eyes I see your dead body or when I'm showering I get transported back to the day of the incident and the running water transforms into your blood flowing out". He begins.

"The worse part is that I will lose you again no matter what unless a solution is brought up and i am terrified of the thought of that happening. I just had you back, I can't lose you again." He continues with tears streaming down his face.

Freya hugs his head to her chest and allows him to quietly cry. They sit there till the sun goes down and everywhere gets dark.

"Come on Freya, it's getting late, let's go home" Leofric says standing up.

"I want to see you" Freya tells him. "What do you mean? You're already seeing me" he replies confused. "No, I want to see the other you, the other you, you know? The fluffy you" Freya says grinning.

"You are just ridiculous" Leofric says amused. "I can't do that here, we are in public" he says.

"We can go to the lake then, you will be covered by the trees and I know you are trying to avoid this topic Leo, you have been repressing that part of you and it's not healthy, it is a full moon and it should be normal.

Listening to you today confirmed my suspicions. You don't have to hide because of me because I want to see you" she says pouting.

"Okay... okay" he agrees and they walk down to the lake surrounded with trees. He takes his shirt off and throws it at her head. She is momentarily blinded by the top and does not see him transform.

She quickly removes the shirt from face and sees his wolf form for the second time in her life.

"Aww, I missed the good part" she says sulking. Leofric wolf form just shakes his head in amusement and walks towards her. "Uhhh" she says suddenly nervous.

He walks to her, softly pushes her stomach with his head and seats on his hind legs. "You're so huge, can I pet you?" she asks and he simply nods in reply.

"Your fur is soooo soft and you are so cute". Freya says scratching behind his ear and running her fingers through his back.

Leofric just huffs in content.

"Can you play fetch? Come on boy fetch" Freya says throwing the stick for Leofric to fetch. His wolf form just stares unamused at her and lays his head between his two front paws and closes his eyes.

"Oh how are just boring, I'll play on my own" Freya says stumping her foot on the floor and going to fetch the stick herself from where it landed close to the lake.

Leofric quietly sneaks behind her and as she crouches down to pick up the stick, gets on his hind leg and uses his front legs go push her into the lake.

"Ahhhh, what the hell?!" she shouts soaked, Leofric letting out happy yips before she tackles him into the lake too.

He yelps before running out and shaking her body like a wet dog. "Ha, serves you right" Freya says laughing. He starts rolling on the grass and she joins him. After having their fun they lay on the grass staring at the stars.

Leofric is on his side, belly exposed while Freya lies on her back, resting her head on his belly. She starts telling him stories about her childhood and her dreams.

She falls asleep soon and Leofric transforms back and carries her to the car and drives her home. "Can we do this again sometime soon, j don't want you to hide from me anymore" She mumbles sleepily during the ride home.

"Sure darling, just go to sleep, I'll take care of you" Leofric says patting her head.

After arriving at the penthouse he takes her to the bedroom, tucks her in and gets into bed beside her.

Freya woke up to Leofric's side of the bed empty. "Babe? Where are you?" she says groggily. Hearing no response, she gets up to search for him.

She hears Max growling softly from the living room. "Max? Come here boy" she says but he ignores her and continues growling. She gets scared and walks to the kitchen to arm herself with a Frying pan before heading to the living room.

She enters the living room and sees the most adorable sight ever. Leofric in his wolf form having a play fight with Max. "What the..." she says, Frying pan dropping from her hand.

Max and Leofric flinch at the sound of the Frying pan dropping on the floor before looking towards the source of the sound and seeing her standing at the door.

Max barks and runs towards her, she crouches down and scratches him behind his ear. Leofrics lays down and rolls in his back, belly exposed and staring expectantly at her.

Freya smiles fondly and walks to him and starts giving him belly rubs. "You look so cute" Freya gushes and he glares at her. Noticing his stare, she starts laughing and he huffs and licks her face with his large tongue.

"Ewww, that's disgusting" she says and Max licks her again. "Aww come in boy, I just said that was disgusting" she says flicking his ear.

They sit playing together before Leofrics gets up, shakes his fur and walks into the room and comes out in his human form.

"Hello dear" he says pecking her forehead. "Hey you, why don't you like transforming in front of me?" she asks.

"It's not a pleasing sight, you might not like it" he replies "Well I want to be the judge of that and why did you decide to transform inside? Not that I'm complaining or anything, I just wasn't expecting it". Freya says.

"You don't remember?" "Remember what?". "

"On the way home yesterday you told me that you would like what happened yesterday to happen again, don't you remember?" he says.

"I did, I thought it was a dream, well I was half asleep but I am glad you considered what I said. Thank you" Freya tells him hugging him.

"Anything for you" he says hugging her back. Max stares in confusion at Leofric before running inside the bedroom, barking, running out and running all over the penthouse. He runs back and circles their legs before sniffing Leofric.

Unsatisfied, he barks and runs back to the bedroom.

"You just confused the hell out of Max" Freya says and they both laugh.
