"Are you almost done?" I peeked my head into Benedito's office as he continued staring at his computer screen like how he had been doing whenever I looked into his office for the past five minutes. 

"Meu amor," he let out a dry chuckle as he shook his head, "I won't be able to finish if you keep on asking me if I'm done. Why don't you sit on the couch and wait for me?"

I looked at the couch he pointed to and shook my head. "I can't sit on that couch."

"Why not?" he raised his eyebrows. 

"Makes me fall asleep," I frowned. It was true, the brown leather couch with the extremely comfortable pillows was my kryptonite. As soon as I laid my head down I would be knocked out for hours and I wanted to get to the ranch before lunch.
