A Truce

A soft, wet, warm tongue flicked against my lips stirring me awake from my deep sleep. Just from the feel of it I knew it was Bobby since it would not be the first time he had woken me up like this. 

"Baby," I chuckled with a hoarse voice. The licking persisted and I could hear Bobby chuckle from above me as I forced my eyes open. Instead of the warm chocolate orbs I was used to, I was met with tiny hazel eyes and a pointy little black nose. "Argh Booger," I groaned as I wiped my lips with the back of my hand. 

The little dog danced on my bare chest as it raised its butt in the air and wagged its tail. For something so small it was terribly energetic. He had kept us up the entire night with his yelping and barking. We took him outside probably five times to burn energy off and by 3am he finally burned off all his tiny liveliness as he slept on his little bed at the corner of the bedroom.
