After an extremely stressful day, the only reasonable thing to do was to go home to my mama. 

"Did you just come here to lay on my couch with your dirty little boots?" Ma kicked my boots then pinched my cheeks painfully hard. "What's going on with you?"

"You wouldn't understand Ma," I sighed for the hundredth time. 

"Well at least breathe quietly. You taking up all the air in Texas," she giggled before she skipped over to the kitchen. "You better get yourself sorted before dinner. I'm having friends over."

"Can't I just come over to sulk at my Ma's house?" I pouted. 

"You've moved and you a grown man," she called out from the kitchen.
