IVAN POV
I sat still on my throne while the usual chattering in the throne room began to get louder and louder. The very thing that brought about this sudden commotion was not lost on me. They were talking about deposing Arianne. Even Jaafar's kingdom, that I thought would help, had already signed their petition and gave their votes.
I had already know it was going to come to this, but I had expected that we were not going to have a lot of people with us but I didn't think Jafar was going to agree to depose Arianne just like that.
I gripped the armrests of my throne tightly, my knuckles turning white under the pressure. How could it have come to this? I thought Jaafar would stand with me, that his loyalty would be unwavering. But the parchment I held in my lap, bearing his seal, told a different story. His name scrawled at the bottom of the list of signatures felt like a personal betrayal.
