Ch 1: The Start

[ Satoshi POV ]

Fuck!

It's crazy to think that I am the one who walked into the pit called death unknowingly. Seriously how fucked up my luck could be? I am sure even god would have laughed at my death.

Now before you get confused about all this, let me give you some introduction about me. I was a medical student who just graduated from the medical university after years of hardwork and sacrifices, to be honest it was like hell.

And when it was finally the time to become doctor after giving my last exams I thought of going back to meet my parents to give this good news in person. Afterall they were the ones who pushed me into this hellhole after burying my dreams of becoming a music producer. What could I have even expected from Asian parents afterall?

Since we were seperated by long ass distance I had to take a flight to get there. I was happy as fuck to finally get the feeling of making it in life and was about to plan my vacations with friends and family,

But something out of my calculations happened..

The plane I was on got crashed and here I am in this place which I can describe in one word.

Abyss.

Nothing seems to be here besides this pitch black never ending darkness. At first I was surprised to find myself sensing this serenity around me but, eventually it shifted into a unbearable feeling that I can't shake off me.

I can't feel my face, legs, arms and...

Not even my body. It's a weird sensation lingering in my 'body frame' as I am surrounded by snakes coiling all around me...when will this hell going to be over! 

First it was the medical university and now this fuckery. Just how many troubles I am supposed to go through to be at peace.

Finally after some time, a small light started to get visible in my sight, not able to deal with it's brightness anymore my vision got pure white even after closing my 'eyes'.

"Wake up to reality"

An unfamiliar voice rang in my ears, causing me to open my eyes. 

There was an old man sitting on the throne in front of me, his facial features depicted him like a wise sage who had the wisdom of everything. The clothes he wore like were the ones that Zeus wore, wait a sec.. He completely resembles Zeus! 

I asked in surprise immediately completely disregarding the fact I just fucking died in a plane crash, "Are you Zeus?"

"Haha, Zeus you say. No I am not the one you have read in mythology on earth. I am the God of world between life and afterlife. I am the one who grants the mortals afterlife" said the old man with a heartily laugh as he took a sip from cup "Now it's the time for you to continue the journey to afterlife. Are you ready?"

"Afterlife? What about heaven or hell?"

"Haha that's not the world I have to offer you my child" He pointed the finger at me with his usual smile "It will be you my child who will decide where you will go"

"I don't get it what do you mean?" 

"Here you go" With a snap of his fingers, a roulette appeared out of nowhere beside him which for some reason was totally blank. Is he playing with me?

It's weird to think that there was nothing on it, does that mean, I wouldn't know it now.

"The world you will get in will project in this wheel when you spin it, the worlds you have envisioned or wished to in your lifetime will appear gradually and the one at which it stops will be the world you end up in."

So that's how it is.....Hm? Why the fuck am I so calm and chill about it like it's a normal thing! A god is in front of me and I am getting to chose the afterlife? Heaven and hell were lies?! 

After calming myself through senseless rants in my head I went towards the roulette wheel. I prayed to him to get me some good world, afterall I don't want to end up in apocalypse worlds, because I admire them too. Finally I spin the roulette wheel, as the wheel began to spin several names of the world I read about started to appear.

[ Narut...….FullMet.....Fate..... AOT.....Boku no.....DBZ…. ]

Seeing the few names that appeared, I almost got excited but also gulped at the sight of some world mentions which scared me to the death. Even though I am a fan of dark animes I would never wish to end up in those.

But finally after some time, the wheel stopped at the name which I never expected.

[ Highschool DxD ]

"Haha, lucky kid" said old man with a smile on his face while stroking his beard elegantly "It's much better than going to the heaven don't you agree?"

I didn't know how to answer that so I just smiled awkwardly while scratching my head. Then something important flashed into my mind when I realized that I didn't knew whether I would be human once again or not. 

"So am I going to be a human in thi-" I was interrupted by the raise of his hand as he walked upto me with slow steps and stopped as he got a good look at me in person "What are you-"

He raised his staff and laid a slight tap on my head which didn't hurt in the slightest. Gradually I felt the consciousness lose grip on me and before I could realize the scene was changed into pitch black darkness once again.

"I'm alive" I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling while laid under the covers. I moved my gaze from the study desk near the window to the dressing table on the other side "This is much better than the one I had in dorm....Wait... Does this mean I am a human once again?!"

I moved away the blanket to side and scurried to the dressing table. In front of me was a young boy with black hairs and brown eyes with a toned physique. I hate to say it but this new me is far better looking than me in previous life.

"I am handsome?" I couldn't help but mutter the appreciation for this new appearance in this life. I swear this gave me a lot of confidence for no goddamn reason "And then some fucks say looks don't matter. Fucking joke"

[ Welcome to the new life Host. I am the system and a companion gifted to you by almighty who will assist you in this journey. I hope we both get along without any bad blood and don't worry I am not going to turn you into a slave with my quests. Ps : I am a good one ]

A mechanical voice interrupted my conversation as a blue screen with a welcome note showed up in front of me. I looked at it in awe since this was literally the system that I had read in lots of fanfictions in my previous life.

Hold on... hold on... let me take a moment to get a hold of this information one by one. There is a shop feature which is not accessible since I got not enough level. Inventory has nothing in it and quests are nil as well and fucking dungeon is...

Sigh! I am getting no push start aside from this. Don't be a bitch Satoshi this is far better than having no power up access. After ingesting all the information in this system I asked the system what every sensible would ask.

"So How am I supposed to get quests and access the shop?" Few dots jiggled on the screen and a response was written on it in seconds and I read it aloud while scratching back of my head "You will get quests as you face the tasks and challenges in your daily life. Harder the challenge better the quests and more importantly it will be based on your desires"

My desires? I got lot of them to be honest but the most important one is to travel the Asgard and whole fucking Norse plane of existence. Sadly anime didn't let us get a good look at it-

"?" This escalated way too fast. I stared at the screen for a moment and a bead of sweat rolled down my cheek despite the cooling of A.C. in my room "I could generate quests like this outta nowhere?!"
