DxD 45 – Assaulting the Cultists (1)

Meanwhile, back in Japan.

All of the sudden, Gunnar Klinger, who is known by many names within the Supernatural, such as Devourer and the Abyssal King being the most famous, or should one say, infamous ones he known by most. Suddenly halted pouring his Abyssal Power before the only door inside this room, when he felt a cold chill down his spine.

"What… is this bad feeling?" Gunnar went with a confuse look, for some reason he felt something he must avoid at all cost, will one day come before him.

He has no clue why he sudden felt this way, nor it was the time to think such trivial and pointless things.

That is why, he refocused and carried on sealing the door with his Abyssal Power, the only way inside this room, where both him and Fujiwara Toyomi are currently in.

Abyssal Infusion.

It is one of Gunnar's abilities he could use with his Abyssal Power, just like Dark Creation.

Abyssal Infusion is the ability to pour and infused his Abyssal Power into living and non-living objects or entities. And counting what he uses this ability on, has different outcomes.

When used on non-living objects, like this door before him. It is possible to strengthen and harden them. And it also possible to use other abilities that uses Abyssal Power on these non-living objects.

For an example, it is possible to apply Dark Creation with the Abyssal Power dwelling within what he used Abyssal Infusion with, making it a possible trap.

However, when there are pros, there also cons with the Abyssal Infusion ability.

The nature of Abyssal Infusion is to pour Abyssal Power into something or someone. This means, the Abyssal Power in someone or something else, will not have the source linked to them, aka the Abyss that dwells within Gunnar's soul, which is linked with his heart.

This means, once the Abyssal Power runs out on that person or object, so will the Abyssal Power inside them will disappear, since it has no source (Abyss) to refills itself.

In other words, you could say, those that has been infused with Abyssal Power via Abyssal Infusion, are like mobile phones, once their battery (Abyssal Power) dies out, do will the phone.

That how Abyssal Infusion mainly works.

Of course, like mention before, counting on what used on, be it living or non-living has different outcomes. He even capable of using it on himself, or other people.

Example of this, when he used Abyssal Infusion on someone else. Will be Himejima Suou, the very same person who originally planned to murder Himejima Akeno and recapture her mother, Himejima Shuri.

In case, if Baraqiel, the Lightning of God, fails to kill Suou for some reason.

Gunnar at that time, already infused him with his Abyssal Power via Abyssal Infusion. And he has commanded his Abyssal Power that dwelled inside Suou. If Baraqiel doesn't kill before a certain time limit, which he did, the Abyssal Power dwelling within him, will be devoured Suou from the inside out once that time reached.

Like mentioned before, with Abyssal Infusion, it is possible to use other Abyssal Power abilities, like Dark Creation, or even devouring others via Abyssal Infusion.

However, using Abyssal Infusion to devour others is not profitable. After all, with no source to refill the Abyssal Power, it also means all the energy it has devoured, will go to waste, since there no source to send that energy to Gunnar.

That is why, using Abyssal Infusion without the source, is not ideal to gained power. Since there nowhere to send the devoured energy to.

And yet again, Gunnar highly doubts that Himejima Suou, could even increased his overall strength even by a grain of rice, due to their difference in their power levels.

Of course, there other ways to use Abyssal Power on living entities.

When he uses Abyssal Infusion on Stray Devils, it is possible to reshape, or even returned them into what they looked like before they took on that monstrous forms as Stray Devils.

If he were to used his Abyssal Infusion on himself and become one with the Abyssal Power. There are many possibilities he could use Abyssal infusion on himself.

One of these possibilities, will be Toyomi's soon to be rapist, who Gunnar defeated and devoured before that High Human could preformed the deed.

Gunnar used Abyssal Infusion on himself in that moment, when his hand right turned misty and black with darkness, before he stabbed his hand into that High Human.

When his hand was inside him, it wasn't actually inside the High Human in terms of physical, but in a spiritual way, in order words, when he stabbed his hand into that vile rapist wannabe. He was actually grabbing the High Human's soul.

In result, he then grabbed the Sacred Gear that was connected to his soul, and ripped it off, like it was a trivial matter.

Of course, this is not limited to Sacred Gears, Gunnar can remove anything, even the soul itself from the body, or vessel in this case. Be it items that link to the souls like Sacred Gears or Evil Pieces. Or even sources of power, like Magic Power, or even Demonic Power, Gunnar could be removed.

In order words, the true power of Abyssal Infusion, is to affect both physical and spiritual mass whatever he infusions with.

(A/N: In order to affect the soul, he must used himself as the median, by using Abyssal Infusion on himself, made it possible to go between a state of physical and spiritual at the same time.)

But that not all he could do with Abyssal Infusion while infusing his with his Abyssal power. But that will be for another time.

'Should be enough.'

Gunnar thought, as he finished infusing Abyssal Power with Abyssal Infusion via the double door before him.

He has infused enough Abyssal Power, that it could withstand attacks of dozens or two of spells on the level of a Middle-Grade level spell, not to mention, if it were attacked by a Ultimate-Class being using their true firepower, that enough to level a city or a town, counting on the stage of their power.

It should be enough to outstand that level of attack as well. However, only once through, but this is an enough for these cultists, and their level of strength.

After finishing sealing the door, in case someone comes here, when he leaves. Gunnar than turned around, and looked away from the door, and to Fujiwara Toyomi who he has knocked out for her own safety.

Gunnar looked at her long pink hair, and her smooth skin, before turned his oceanic blue eyes on the raising and lowering towel covering her breasts.

"Quite a sight, no wonder Issei cannot contain himself in this fictional world, well should I say parallel fictional world? Now I think about it… is it me… is it normal to feel this much lust at my age?" Gunnar asked himself in wonder.

He really has no clue, if this normal for a 12 year old boy like himself, to feel this much lust at his age.

He knew at his age, his hormones that are now developing at an uncontrollable rate, normally does blind and cloud most boys judgment.

This does not mean, it cannot be controlled, there are those that capable of controlling their hormones' outbursts. And there also those are not.

Take Kiba Yuuto for an example. He has no lust inside him, to the point others will think he is either gay or asexual. But in reality, due to his rage and revenge dwelling deep inside himself clouded his mind, and unknowingly controlled his hormones' outbursts.

And on the other hand… you have Hyoudou Issei, the perfect example of someone, who let his hormones to controlled him.

In the end, Gunnar Klinger has to be thankful, he even has a sex drive, even if he has developed a strong one or not. Since he has no clue, if this normal or not.

But as an Abyssal Human, he should be thankful he is not an asexual, and lack the hormones as an Abyssal Human to get 'it' up.

After all, unless he wanted to be cheated on all the time, what the point of building himself a harem. When he lacks the ability to satisfied them?

However, one cannot blame Gunnar for his confusion.

In his past life. he was born with an illness that took everything from him. From his ability to walk, and right down to the beating of his heart.

And among the things that his illness took, was even his hormones to develop a sex drive that most boys will develop at his age.

So it is no wonder, why Gunnar, who might know how the human body works, but still lacks the experience, since he never experienced such things, like getting 'it' up in his last life.

Of course, there is one thing that Gunnar is overlooking, when he thoughts of such things. And that thing is, he isn't what you call a 'normal' human being, but something else altogether.

It is known fact within the Supernatural, beings like Devils, especially Dragons, has unusually high sex drives compared to normal human beings. And this especially so, when it comes to Fallen Angels, who has fallen for the Sin of Lust.

It also one of the many reasons, why many within the Supernatural has harems. Who are beings, not only their have stronger bodies compared to humans, but even their sexual desires are greater compared to them as well.

As an Abyssal Human himself, it is unknown if Gunnar's one of such races, like Dragons, who naturally born with a high level sex drive to begin with.

Not to mention, Gunnar still has realised it yet, but he already shown some level desire of lust towards Rias Gremory when he saw her naked.

Never mind the fact, she still a child, even if both Gunnar and Rias are basically the same age. But if one think about it, it is strange.

Due to his job as a mercenary, Gunnar has seen many inhumane things in these last three years. That changed the past him, into his current self.

Has there been times, when he cross paths of children and women being raped, or about to be raped, or has been raped. And when he saw their naked bodies, he felt nothing, even in the memories of their rapists, or about to be rapists, when he devoured them.

And yet, he felt desires towards both Rias and Toyomi.

With Toyomi's case, it could be explained, after all, she does has a body; one will doubt belongs to a 15 year old girl. And yet, strangely enough in many countries he been to, 15 years old, is usually the starting point when one engages in sexual activities.

(A/N: Before you ask, not this doesn't mean by a law standard, but common sense way.

In my country, don't know now, but years ago, it is or was fairly common for teens at the age of 16 at most, will engage in a sexual relationship. And I even knew those who did it before the age of 16, my point it is… it more common than you think.)

So, for someone like Gunnar, who mostly travels around the world, of course, his mindset will be different compared to most Japanese people. So, it is no wonder why he felt something towards someone like Toyomi whose not only at the age for most in other countries will see as a sexual partner.

As for Rias Gremory case?

Unknowing to himself, the reason why Gunnar felt such a thing towards her, has to do with the sole fact. He has personally seen how she will look, and how hot her body will become, behind a screen, called anime.

He might unknowingly overlap the two differences before him. And knowing she will become such a beauty, it no wonder why Gunnar felt such a thing. It's not Rias, but 'Rias' he was feeling such desires for. And it doesn't help to overlap such a thing, when Rias already showing development of a womanly body already at a such young age.

(AN: He meant the canon's Rias, not the child Rias.)

In the end, Gunnar didn't dwell much on this matter. Currently, Gunnar has no desire, or leeway to lose himself in the sin known as Lust. Not to mention, he still young to engaged himself into these kinds of matters.

'It's not like I will lose control of myself, would I? Let the future me take care of it; I am sure it is nothing~'

With a nod and pushing this issue to the future him. Gunnar finally finished infusing Abyssal Power into the double doors before him.

After dealing with the double door, Gunnar than walked next to the sleeping Toyomi, and when he arrived next to her, he just sat on the ground.

Taking a moment to look at the beauty besides him, and like that. Gunnar used Abyssal Infusion once again. But this time, the target of his Abyssal Infusion is the ground itself.

And like so, Abyssal Power poured into the ground around Gunnar and Toyomi before he quickly spread throughout the warehouse itself.

After the warehouse has been infused with his Abyssal Power unknown by everyone in here, besides Gunnar himself.

By using himself as the median, between the infused Abyssal Power, and his own Abyssal Power. Gunnar begin to do another thing he could do with his Abyssal Infusion ability.

And that is to share his senses with what he infused with. As long he remained connected whatever he infused his Abyssal Power with, sensing others is possible with Abyssal Infusion.

Which is why he begin to sensed the location of the other 43 children he has to save. And from the senses alone, Gunnar could tell, that Fujiwara Chika seems to been moved to another place.

It not surprising to Gunnar, why the cultists did such a thing.

After all, Toyomi is not the only one among these 44 children who has survived the ritual, but also awakened a Sacred Gear, Chika is also one of them.

To them, Chika and Toyomi are more important than other 42 children. After all, only these two sisters managed to awakened a Sacred Gear.

Of course, Gunnar did find it odd, for the two only people that awakened a Sacred Gear, were sisters. But in the end, he didn't think much further about it.

While Toyomi was shipped off to be raped, and Chika moved to a different location. Fujiwara Moeha and the other 41 children all seems to be in the same place, that the ritual took place. Or least that what Gunnar feel, when he sensed their auras.

And besides the new 42 High Human children, Gunnar could also sense around a dozen or so High Humans, their kidnappers, who also seem to be standing guard in the main room with them.

"Hmm, what the ironic? To think the Sacred Gear users to be sisters… from that anime huh. Well, if it wasn't for the potential hostages, I could handle this myself… to think they only one High Human, whose at High-Class huh, how boring."

Gunnar told himself this, before he used Abyssal Infusion to manifest several hidden traps around these 42 children.

Once Gunnar finished with setting up the traps, in case of the hostage card will be played by these cultists. Gunnar felt about a tenth or nearly a tenth of his Abyssal Power has been spent on Abyssal Infusion alone.

The amount of Abyssal Power infused with Abyssal Infusion in the warehouse, specially the places where the hostages are at, has enough power to kill Middle-Class Devils like insects, and also capable of wounding High-Class Devils heavily as well.

Of course, if an Ultimate level Devil were to be the one to be hit by these traps, Gunnar doubts they will be killed or heavily wounded. But enough to cause some minor level wounds to them.

Shame there is no Ultimate-Class High Humans among these cultists here. However, this is enough to deal with these cultists, even their leader, the High-Class one, if they dare to use the hostage card on him.

And not mention… Gunnar is no longer alone.

All of the sudden, outside of the warehouse itself. Gunnar shows a smile on his lips. When he could sense around 45 people outside of the warehouse.

He knew these guys are most likely his Dark Knights.

Shame enough, Tatsuya has built a way to cloak their auras within their armour they are wearing. Because of that, unless you near them, it is impossible even for Gunnar himself, to sense their power levels.

However, knowing the person he has called for help in this trivial matter. He doubts she will bring any Low-Class level Dark Knights, or what he likes to called them, the Third-Class Dark Knights.

Meaning these 44 Dark Knights of his, are mostly Second-Class and First-Class Dark Knights.

Not to mention, with himself, and that person he called. There are no needs to call the other Demons here, or the Dark Commanders. After all, two beings with late stage Ultimate-Class strength are enough, no, it is overkill for the likes of these cultists.

However, if it wasn't for the sole fact, there too many hostages here. Gunnar long ago will bring his killing spree on these cultists.

And now? It is finally time… it is time to begin the massacre to his heart content. Without worrying about the aftermath of his actions, if he were to do this alone.

So it is no wonder, why a sinister smirk floated on Gunnar's lips, when it is time to put an end to this very long day.
