Seeing the young woman kept looking at him with pursed lips as if wanting to ask him something but was unsure whether she could do so or not, Danial's eyebrows twitched. He couldn't help asking, "What?"
"Did you guys...did you guys kill my friends?"
Danial unhurriedly replied with obvious disappointment in his voice. "Unfortunately, none. They are still alive." He emphasized the word still, which Asera unintentionally ignored. Her focus was more on her friends' well-being.
Thank goodness they were alive, she inwardly thought while patting her chest.
Danial suddenly added a sentence that made her doubt Danial's intention. "Although no one could move freely right now."
Asera's ears perked up. She spun her head so quickly it almost strained her neck's muscle and stared at Danial with eyes full of wariness. What did he mean by that?
