Chapter 27

Aster: There is nothing here! The terminal is completely empty!

I put my hands behind my head in exasperation.

Aster: Well...at least I got this baby. Ordis, how long until we arrive home?

Ordis: Uhhh we're already there.

Aster: What?

I stood up and checked outside only to see my apartment with the lights closed.

Aster: It hasn't even been 5 minutes!

Ordis: You do know that this is a spaceship right? Operator.

Aster: Shut up Ordis!

I shouted feeling embarrassed.

"It's going to be so much easier going around with the help of this ship. But, what should I do for now?"

Aster: Oh right!

I ran excitedly to the customisation station. I put my palm on a huge device that looked like a futuristic wardrobe.

I felt a pinch on my hand and then some lights came to life. A huge hologram appeared next to me with some strange symbols that I couldn't understand.

Aster: Ordis, what does it say?

Ordis: Just some technical stuff. I can help you operate it.

Aster: Ok, let me ask you something. I want to have a form that is different that the others so that nobody will connect it to me. Can I have that?

Ordis:Give me a second Operator...I believe I have a answer to your problem. You can setup one different form than your normal ones, but only one. It will not have any abilities but it will still have the physical augmentations that all warframe provide. Think of it like an Excalibur with different appearance and no abilities.

Aster: Well...not what I had in mind. Anyway, how can I change its appearance?

Ordis: Just wait a moment. Do you have some idea about its general appearance? We'll start from there and then you can interact with it to customise it.

Aster: Ok, just make the basic template like Ash and I'll take it from there.

A hologram of Ash appeared infront of me and I started making changes here and there, adding colour here and there, trying to get the hang of it.

After an unknown amount of time and a lot of effort, the perfectionist warframe veteran inside me was satisfied.

Aster: I finally finished!

Ordis: A fearsome appearance Operator! You will strike fear in the heart of your enemies!

Aster: Thank you Ordis! Now, I don't have time to test it since I have to sleep as much as I can. It got really late and it's a school night!

I went to the living quarters and went to bed.

"Wow! This is the best bed ever!"

That was the last thought on my mind before I fell asleep.

The next day as usual I went to the academy. Nothing special happened and I left as soon as I could. Arriving home, I want to the balcony.

Aster: Ordis, Bring the Mantis close and open the hatch.

Out of thin air, a hatch became visible. I quickly jumped inside.

Aster: I have to think of something else, someone might see me jumping in the air.

Ordis: Fear not Operator, the only way to be seen is if someone is passing from above when the hatch is open.

Aster: That's something. So, yesterday I completed the new form, what now?

Ordis: Please proceed to the station.

I went there and put my palm on it like last night. This time though, something else happened. The wardrobe shape device split in the middle and capsule-like device was revealed.

Aster: My own private solarium? I'm touched.

I said to myself as a joke.

Ordis: Lie down and relax Operator.

I did as instructed and the device closed again with me inside. A gas was released and I fell unconscious.

Opening my eyes I found myself inside the open capsule.

Aster: Ugh, what happened?

Ordis: The procedure is very delicate so you had to be sedated.

Aster: What?

I stood up and started patting me body allover.

Aster: It doesn't hurt anywhere, what was the procedure?

Ordis: ...You don't want to know. Anyway, now you can transform!

"Now I'm really scared to ask..."

Aster: Alright, let's do this!

Dark gas-like shadows covered me and then took an oval gateway-like shape. I slowly emerged from inside. First a leg, then an arm and finally, the rest of my body.

Black as the night, with Batman-like horns on my head. Crimson red details gave me a demonic look and deep black gas was emitted from my elbows. It was loosely based on a Tsukuyomi tennogen skin for Ash.

"This is so freaking cool!"

Ordis: I just can't understand your obsession for the dramatic. I mean, no one is even here to see you right now.

Ordis' voice came out of nowhere and pulled me out of my reverie.

"Aaaand now it's gone..."

Aster: Ordis, why do you always have to ruin the moment?

Ordis: Because it's fu-u-u-u- I'm sorry operator, it wasn't my intention.

I sighed and gave up.

Aster: How long have I been out?

Ordis: A few hours.

Aster: Why so long?

Ordis: It's not the same as customising a warframe Operator. Frankly I'm surprised that this Spacecraft even HAS the facilities to make any changes to you.

"He has a point, this is kind of suspicious. Perhaps Janus sent it for me. I need answers and I don't know how to get them. And since that's the case, I should focus on something I CAN do"

Aster: Ordis, I'll go meditate, tell me when the sun sets.

Ordis: As you wish.

I undid my transformation and went to my living quarters and sat down. A question popped into my mind.

Aster: Ordis, is there no way to customise the abilities of the custom form?

Ordis: There is a possibility. The station has the capacity for some alterations but it requires the right equipment and Earth's technology is nowhere near as advanced as we need.

"At least it's possible. Perhaps I'll find what I need with some help like I did with the Mantis."

With that thought, I emptied my mind and started meditating.

Next chapter! Nothing much happened but the next one will have action. Tell me what you think and as always, thanks for reading!
