Give me Liberty...

Daredevil, Cloak and dagger stood with the glorious monument to freedom and Liberty standing before them. Powerful spotlights reflected off of the statue, making it bask and shimmer in brilliant light. At the late hour, the long lines of tourists and immigrants that would normally extend out the entrance are not present. The place looks deserted. Suddenly, the beam of a solitary flashlight reflected through a window. There was someone inside. When they approached the monument, a rookie night watchman named Herb approached them. He drew his revolver and aimed it at them with a shaky hand. "What are ya doing here?!" he shouts. "The monument's closed! Can't you see that?! I dont want no trouble from you costumed types, but I'll shoot if i have to!"

After explaining the situation to Herb, he allows them to search the monument while he calls NYPD and radioed the other guards to evacuate the monument.

The doors open to the American Museum of Immigration. Here they saw the original torch held by lady liberty, exhibits about the history of American immigration, and accounts of construction and renovation. A long double-helix spiral staircase led up to the head of the statue.

After a long and thirsty climb, they arrived at the crown of the statue of Liberty. Nearby was a bubbling water fountain, which had refreshed thousands of visitors to the nation over the years. From the crown, windows looked out over all of the bay.

When Dagger went to drink from the fountain, she located the spirit bomb. However, she also alerted the hideous creature from the Void that Fu Manchu had magically summoned to guard the bomb.

The Heroes Fight the bomb and Cloak eventually uses his darkness power to transmit the monster into the darkness dimension.
