Mind Your words, Wifey!

"But how far can you go when you have 4 siblings tracking your every move?" She said in her mind.

Her brother Abhinav was searching for her for a long time. Finally, he found her back near her room.

"Akka (Elder sister), You need to attend the In-law's family dinner. Please wear a saree and come to the dining section in the garden," Abhinav said and left.

She knew there was no escape for her from this thing. Laya has to accept it now or after. But she felt that maybe it's not too bad for her to be with Rahul. He seemed good. But why does she have some nagging feeling? Maybe because she was worried whether he would let her follow her dreams when her mother was acting like a dictator. She sighed helplessly and took out a white saree and draped it. She wore no pleats this time as she has to look beautiful and presentable in front of his relatives. She looked like an angel in her white saree. After she was done, she was about to go to the garden alone. But her brother Arjun came to escort her to the said place.

She spoke nothing to him, neither did he speak with her. Suddenly she felt silence was the best thing in the world. By the time they reached the place, she saw everyone settled in their places.

All of them were sitting at the dining table where Laya's parents and her future-in-law were talking to each other. Laya was just sitting with a little bit of food on her plate.

She was thinking about who was going to sit next to her. But her dreams shattered at once when her future husband sat next to her. He gave a breath-taking smile and winked at Laya.

"Why in heaven is he so hot and handsome?!" Said Laya in her mind.

"Why are you being a quiet child?" his mom with a motherly smile to Laya.

"Nothing," Laya answered with a small smile.

"I am very sorry for the earlier incident" Laya heard him whisper.

"Save it!!" Laya said in a really angry tone this time. "I don't want to hear it !!" Laya said, showing her palm to him, indicating to stop.

The remaining dinner went pretty silent. He was trying to put on a smile but Laya could see that he wasn't happy. Occasionally he was trying to hold Laya's hand, but this misunderstanding was evident to some other eyes before them. They stood up, her brother and his sister. They asked something then dragged both of them away to somewhere. We were out on the beach.

"Now you both can be lovey-dovey and we will mind our own business." They said. But Laya, still in shock. Saranya and Abhinav! Dammit! She never thought they would become a couple.

"Hey, you both met three days ago, how?" Before I could finish someone held my waist and dragged me aside.

"Let me go or I will scream kidnapping!!" Laya threatened the person without knowing who the person was.

"Sure, call them!" a familiar voice said.

"You, son of a b*tch!!" Laya shouted.

"Mind your words, baby," He said, " Why don't you look at me when I am still standing here, extremely hot ?" He was dragging Laya as she heard her fiance's voice.

Laya was shocked when he asked her, but she answered "I don't hate you or marriage with you. It's just that I want to achieve my dreams." Laya continued.

"My parents want me to get married and send me away. As I am becoming a burden to them. I thought…. They love me. But their love is not for me. Since… they realized it's impossible to get my property, they want me to be away. But I have goals I want to achieve, places I want to visit, adventures I want to go on before I get settled and have kids and a family of my own!!" she yelled at him in frustration. A tear escaped from her eyes unknowingly.
