Her intention, His agony.

All it took was a gunshot.....bang!. .... Diva decides to stay in her mother's homeland for a while, not because she needed the space her grandma and father told her she needs- time heals. Picking up her bag and leaving the room... her mother's killer was far away from the kingdom but not far from her mother's country. He was there. ___ 'Red-eyed creatures don't exist. They are just myths'. Her friend Hailey said with an air of confidence and knowledge as she chew on her burger. Myths?. If there are just myths and don't exist, then does that mean that she was just hallucinating things when she saw those pair of blood-red eyes looking at her. After a while, her friend asked her, 'Why do you ask? Have you seen anyone?'. Yes, once in her nightmares, twice in her school. 'Anyways, next time you see Emma and his friends, run in the opposite direction'. Diva nodded and rose her head, only to be met with someone's threatening gaze. 'Come outside'. She read the words off his lips. ___ The events around her mother's death still played fresh in her memory and helped to remind her of her revenge-- to give her mother's killers a slow and painful death. Lucy

A knock pulled Emma out of reminiscence, his eyes not leaving the ceiling as he waited patiently in the silence that followed, for the person to go.

Another one and Emma was forced to sit upright, His legs moving to stay on the floor and his hands on the edge of the bed. He hated this moment. When someone comes knocking at the door the moment he decides to set his mind free- free of the tiredness and boredom of brooding over things without providing a suitable solution. Or spurting questions where he had no answer. Here, he just let his mind think all over again, gathering pieces and adjoining them to solve the endless puzzles that ran rent-free in his head.

He dread to notice that he still had his shoes on and socks too. The height his mental tiredness had reached was fascinating where he felt physically weak to remove the shoes he had wore out and back. The human's body is indeed limiting.

'Emma, are you there?. It's me Lucy.... Emma, can you please open the door?. You are getting me worried'. A feminine voice came with the air to his ear. Emma had to pinch the space between his brows and after exhaling his exasperation, he dragged himself to the door.

He opened the door and did not wait a second for the person in front now to enter before taking himself back to the bed. This time removing his shoes before throwing himself on the bed.

'Close the door behind you'. His breath hitting the pillow as he had placed his head on it while lying flat on his stomach.

Lucy, the girl that knocked on the door and was now inside his room, walked to his bed and sat on the edge. Emma did not shift from his position and just closed his eye while waiting for Lucy to finally state her reason of being in his room.

If he had not know that the times she visited him in his room after he came back from school which were on rare occasions, were times when she was deeply concerned about him and not because she just wanted to spend time with him- he would have not opened the door for her.

He was a man, not a boy, and she was a woman, yes a woman. Though she was young, younger than how she looked, her matured body and sophisticated dresses that enhanced her curves did not show it at all. She had her own issues, he had his. Didn't girls of the same age as Lucy, girls in their early twenties, not have friends they could rely on during their times of monotony rather than pestering a teenager like him?.

'So, you won't even greet me?. Ehn, Emma?'. Her voice sounding hoarse with a tinge of concern and sadness in it.

She felt neglected. It was not her fault and Emma didn't want her to think so. He just couldn't help himself and that was it. Right now his mind was lethargic. After what seemed like a failed effort of deciphering his feelings, he had somehow found himself space to think and exert all his mental strength that was left, to ponder on his thoughts and be free, but now she was in his room and had disrupted his plan. He felt even more lax as he had used up his cerebral wits to commence the process. She thought he was now paying less attention to her.

It was his fault. He won't blame her.

'Good evening'. He exerted a little strength into his voice and made it sound less weak.

He had made her feel ignored and had gotten her all sad. The least he could do now was to sound okay to alleviate her concern that sprung from fear.

______________

Hey dear readers, I know I might have broken my promise, pls bear with me. It's not easy and if there is one thing I hate so much is repeating the same thing over and over again. This time it is very understandable.

I am no more able to write during the day and when I write at night, it is like putting more loads on my weak body. For the past three days it's been hard to write and edit. So I retired to writing only without editing and now am done writing the fifteen chapters. Hence, in the days following you will always see an update as I will be posting the fifteen mass release chapters plus the ones of this week.

PS: I post a chapter each day. Therefore expect a max of twenty chapters this week.

Also, if you are finding it hard to understand the mental strength problem, I will be posting an explanation of it in the comment box of that paragraph later on. Mental strength is not a super power. It happens to most of us, each day. That tiredness that comes with thinking too much. You are getting me now, right?. I will give the details later, once I am done editing, so expect it too,

Happy new month.
