Barricade

Diva excused herself to use the restroom after the meal. It was the first time she used a public toilet and wanted to hold it in till she got to her house but a pressing matter is meant to be solved immediately, so her feet carried to the bathroom. She stood outside one of the bathroom doors to wait till it was time for her to enter. Quickly, she eased herself and left the room.

The hallways were empty as the students were in their classes, leaving her with a feeling of wrongdoing. It wasn't in the book but somehow she felt she could be punished for not being in the classroom at that time.

She walked with haste, wanting to get out of the hallway.

' I believe you owe me an apology. She heard his voice and in time stopped to see a foot straightened before her.

Her body staggered a little till she got her stability. Her anger sprouted from the sight of his leg. The long leg before her was accredited to him and annoyingly he did not retract it even after she almost fell.

' You very affluent in words, what happened to your lips now? I don't see a seal on it '. He added much to her irritation.

But Diva kept quiet and listened to his voice ring in her head. She compared it with the soft and loud voices. His voice was soft and even when he was a tad bit close, it was soft. Her head, she couldn't get it to form anything or decipher with which emotion his words sprouted from. It was all plain.

' Diva Conrad '. He called and she shut the voice out of her head for it now sounded like a waver, slithering back and forth in her brain.

' Please, excuse me '. She begged to pass. ' I've got lectures to attend to '.

And Emma, she knew him as a distraction, so with every boldness in her, she passed the path the tip of his shoe left to create space with the wall and beat to move fast, but soon he was in front of her again, looking straight into her eyes.

She gasped when she saw him landing only a few feet from where she was, her eyes widening when she saw him stalking to her. She looked him in his eyes to notice a hollow version of his pupils. Like a black hole, it sucked her very breath and rendered her helpless.

' I don't like it. Don't like it when I am walked out on '.

' I begged to be excused. I didn't walk out on you '. She prompted and moved to the side again. His left hand came to barricade her.

' Taking sneaky peeks at me is an invasion of my privacy. Don't you think you are meant to apologize? '.

Diva kept her eyes down and sighed loudly. ' Listen, you are bullying me and I don't like it. You can be punished for it. She heard him smack his lips.

' Punished? '. She heard the questions as though he was asking himself. ' What is it like? '. And when she looked through her lashes, he was with a thoughtful expression.

' Please excuse me, I have classes to attend '. While in his thoughtful expression she fought herself a way out and evaded his hands before they came blocking her way again.

From outside, she saw that the teacher had already taken his stand before the class and was teaching, so she waited patiently for him to turn back to the noises before going to her seat.

' What took you so long? '. Hailey questioned in a hushed tone.

' A long story. I will tell you later '. Diva answered, flipping the pages of her textbook. Fortunately for her, Hailey had brought everything out and laid them on her table.

.

' Thank you '. She whispered to receive a nod from her.

Before starting herself up for the class, she first turned to his seat and did not find it, before looking at the hallway, but he was not there either. And somehow it made her worried to think that the Principal had called him again. Resolving to the fact that he deserves to be punished, she shove everything to the back of her head and paid full attention to the teacher

And as for Emma, he sat on a large stone whilst throwing smaller ones into a lake.
