Chapter 1

Kindness... Stupid... I sigh grabbing my bag getting ready to leave. I hug my fiancé Elise goodbye. She promised to wait for me to come back. I leave to the mortal world ending up in the woods near a small town. I hear footsteps and see a woman. She looked at me and smiled "hello you must be new here I'm Rosalie or rose for short who are you?" I look at her "I'm angel nice to meet you miss" She smiled walking away. I noticed her footsteps where rather quiet. It was like she was making sure she could barely be heard, weird. I decide to follow the strange woman and see that she's walking to town. I stop with a sudden realization. 'Oh, crap did I hide my wings and halo!?' I check and let out a sigh of relief. I look around realizing I had lost sight of the woman I go looking for her. I walk around all day looking for her when finally, I see her. It will probably seem weird to ask but I need a place to sleep and the inn I tried before was full so it's my best shot. I was approaching the house and her arguing to I hide to listen in. I hear a man and Rosealie arguing. I then hear glass breaking. I get sort of worried for her safety but then everything goes quiet. The only sound being stomping as a man walks out. He had some bags with him as he walked off the porch. "See how well you do without me protecting you!" He then leaves followed by another woman. I go through the alley and then begin my approach to the house again. The man and woman passing me. But this time when I get to the house, I don't hear shouting I hear sobbing. I look and see Rosealie sitting on her porch crying. I walk up to her "miss are you okay?" She looked up at me and wipe her tears smiling. I should be but I'm not..." I sit by her "Well I'm all ears if you want to rant to me" Nodded "okay" and then she began to spill how she felt. After a few hours of listening to her rant she then finished "He sounds like a jerk" She laughed "Oh he is but I had to stay with him. I look at her "Why?" She sighed "For protection. But I got tired of his crap" She looked at the sky getting up "Well it's getting late, so I'll let you get home" I stand up as well "Well you about that, I have nowhere to stay" She looked at me. "Jeez your first day here and you don't have a place to stay" I laugh a bit "I'm not the brightest" She sighed a bit "Well I'll let you stay" Think of it as a thank you for hearing my long rant" She laughed a bit and I smile "thank you miss rose". She looked at me "You can just call me rose" I smile "alright" we walk inside, and the house was wrecked. "Oh, shoot I forgot the house was wrecked" She went to pick up some glass and instantly got cut on it. I sit her down "I'll clean you rest." She refused but I insisted till she gave in and went to her room. I worked my magic and cleaned the house. Fixing all the broken things while I was at it. When she came back down her face was in shock. "How did you clean all of this so fast?" I laugh a bit. "It's a habit of mine" She looked at me and laughed "I might just let you stay so you can help around the house you're a better cleaner than me" I shrug "I won't mind that. currently I have nowhere to live so that'll work" She showed me to the guest room. "okay you can sleep here then" I set down my bag "Thank you rose" She nods and leaves "I'll call you for dinner in a minute!" I sit and look in my bag for the paper that'll give me a hint as to who I am supposed to protect. I almost laugh when I see it.

'Rosealie' By the time you get there she should have had her boyfriend leave her. So, this will leave her alone. Stay with her till we see that you are fit to come back as a guardian Angel. - Sincerely the Arche angles.

Well, it seems I already found her, oh well. I head downstairs to see if rose needs any help. I hear her humming as I walk closer. I stand in the doorway of the kitchen listening to her. But once she noticed I was listening she stopped embarrassed. I smile "You sounded great" She looks at me with a small smile "thank you angel" I walk over "need any help?" She nodded "sure can you set the table? The dishes are in that cabinet" She points to where they are and I start setting the table Soon, we eat and head to bed. I change to pajamas and lay looking at my ceiling. It's not so bad here. Maybe I should stay. I shake my head 'no I need to get back to Elise' I yawn closing my eyes and drifting to sleep.
