"We can't bring him out here, one sniff and everyone will know he is out here." Erin argues in a hushed whisper as soon as we are out of sight.
"It should be midnight. We will bring him in by midnight. Nobody has to know."
"Won't they sniff him out? You are not thinking about this."
"This was your idea, I got it from you."
He stares at me long and hard. I would squirm under his stare but I noticed he had not shaved. Not yet. A light stubble had grown on him. Now that I was looking, I notice the dark circles under his eyes.
"You haven't been sleeping."
He looks taken aback by my words, before looking away.
"It comes with having responsibilities. Yours only left because you slept close to your mate."
I could not stop the blush that spread from the tip of my ears to my neck. My skin was darker than most, especially since I started spending more time out than in my own den, but the blush was evident. I was sure.
