To Be Announce

When William needed to get some fresh air, he left Cristy's house. He found it difficult to concentrate with her so close by. Cristy's strawberry and vanilla scent kept him from smelling anything else. Some of his comrades were keeping an eye out for him. While the women were enamored with him, the males held him in the highest regard. He didn't pay attention to their seductive stares. Fortunately, Lawrence, Mike, and Darwin had already met him outside the restaurant and were ready to welcome him.

"How did it turn out?" asked, Darwin.

"Cristy's dad thinks highly of me. He understands the gravity of the situation should something happen to her. He'll protect her. Tonight is the night when I'd like to get her a bodyguard. He assured her that she would be protected at all times. He could never put his daughter in danger."

Lawrence stated. "What sort of danger does she pose?"

"Because she is a person, she is vulnerable. Dim Forest is about to be invaded by a slew of supernatural creatures, including werewolves, vampires, and bears. It isn't in my best interest for them to belittle me because of her." William continued on his way. Lily was washing down the tables when they arrived to the restaurant. The full moon diner was deserted, yet it usually closes early.

"Just how is Cristy doing?" Lily wanted to know.

He was fond of her due to the manner she treated his companion with respect. Her gaze briefly strayed away from Mike before returning . As William speak, " She's fine, Um.. why didn't we have a party for her?"

"Yes, it was clear to C-Cristy that she missed the metropolis. A number of her friends could join us, so we had a fun time. Because not everyone here gets to celebrate their birthday, especially her."

He inquired, "What? Why?"

"To be touched and desired by another man made her feel uneasy."

"It is your decision whether or not to leave the premises. After all, she has been ordered to stay at home till after the feast. Assure that she stays put. If something horrible happens to her, you can count on me to be there for you."

Before she turned back and left, she gave a small nod. Michelle had been slamming pot lids shut when he found her. When she fixed her gaze on him, William felt it.

"Surely, you've made up your mind to go and see me." she was perplexed. A chuckle erupted from the three of them. He aimed a sneer at them before approaching one of the group's more senior members.

"Please accept my apologies. My primary focus was on my partner's well-being."

There was a thud when the lid dropped off the pot in the distance. Michelle folded her arms as she faced him. "How did you come to the decision to have a human as a partner?"

He stated, "My partner will be a human, according to the whims of fate."

"Basically, you're saying that you wish she weren't human."

"William, you are more than welcome to stare at me as long as you like. You have no idea how protective I am for Cristy. She's a hard worker and a wonderful person. Don't do anything like your father, she should be by your side at all times. Because I like her, I'd like to have her here."

William bragged about his accomplishments with a chuckle. Michelle belonged to the pack, and the others would be persuaded to agree if they heard what she had to say about Cristy.

"Cristy can work here if I don't forbid her," William said.

"Yet! Your father told your mother the same thing. Your mother was at his side during her pregnancy, and you are the fruit of her labor. Working as the alpha's mate is a full-time work." Michelle made a turn and got a few spices from the table.

"Neither she nor I, nor my father, or anything like my mother. By virtue of being a human, she is mostly protected against it. Please, refrain from involving her in any of my arguments."

"Will you maintain her as your mate, but not include her in pack activities?" Michelle was curious.

"Yes."

"That could endanger her life and the rest of the pack."

"I clearly understand what you trying to say. In the interest of the pack's respect, I won't put her in danger; " said William in reply.

"Are there any other people in the house who can speak on her behalf at this point in time?" Michelle wanted to know more.

William nodded his head in agreement. When he announced to the group that his mate was human, there would be a flurry of activity. An alpha's mating with a human was unheard of. After taking on a human, an alpha would usually step down from his position. As an alpha, William was who he always claimed to be. Neither he nor his comrade would force him to retire.

"Lara won't like this," Michelle said.

"She has no bearing on my life. This isn't about her."

"Is that what you're claiming? It is apparent that she has a special place in her heart for you. I believe you should exercise cautious when around her. " As Michelle's comments had an effect, Michelle maintained her gaze fixed on him. William was adamant about not speaking to her. "If there's any way I can be of assistance to Cristy, I'll do it."

Michelle turned to face the three men who had gathered around her. "You need to get out of here and get ready for tonight's party straight now. It's going to be incredible, I just know it."

As she walked away from him, he grinned.

Lawrence made a comment "As far as I know, we don't feel the same way about our mates as we do about ours."

William stayed silent. Every pack member would know that Cristy Lincon was his mate and that he intended to claim her as his own.
